why with my dx220 I can't see the 5ghz wifi network?
Can you pass audio via usb c to a headphone amp without a dac? I have two fiio devices whereby you can connect via a usb C to a Beyerdynamic A2 amp with a usb to rca cable and it works perfectly. You can also use a DK1 dock which does the same thing. Naively I thought I would try it with the ibasso but got sweet nothing. I can,of course, put the stock amp back on and use the line out to the A2 but not ideal as I normally use amp8 with the ibasso. I think the answer is no,but many on here will know so much more than me.

I'd like to know as well. I have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz running on my router and I'd to see both on my DX220 so I can choose the stronger of the two for connection.it's up to the router

My first guess would be that the DX220 doesn't like DFS channels. Try manually selecting the 5ghz channels and select something very low like 36 or so and see if your DX220 can detect 5ghz then.
Edit: If the player doesn't support DFS I would like to see this with a future firmware upgrade. If that requires an upgrade to Android 9, 10 or 11 then so be it.

Selectable dual-band. A selectable dual-band router offers a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, but you can only use one at a time. You actually have to use a switch to tell it the band you want to use.I'd like to know as well. I have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz running on my router and I'd to see both on my DX220 so I can choose the stronger of the two for connection.
So this is not a choice over dx 220

And when the firmware was mentioned is there any news when it will be?My first guess would be that the DX220 doesn't like DFS channels. Try manually selecting the 5ghz channels and select something very low like 36 or so and see if your DX220 can detect 5ghz then.

After the last firmware many interesting suggestions were made for the next one, it would be nice to see some of those suggestions in the new firmware soon

Are both their own network with their own SSID's? Most newer routers like to combine the two bands together and move devices as needed to the stronger connection.
Would have to reconfigure you're router to have them be their own networks and it should pick up on both. Mine does when I do that

Yes, both have unique SSID's. I can see them both at different strengths on my other devices. Are both their own network with their own SSID's? Most newer routers like to combine the two bands together and move devices as needed to the stronger connection.

After the new firmware update, how's the battery life when only driving IEMs and just playing music?
Do you get a longer batter life with any of the ROMs? What about speed?
