Could be that by removing and reinstalling you now have a better electrical connection/reduced contact resistance feeding the amp module and thus improved battery performance. I have seen this, as I imagine most others have as well, with various electronic/electrical devices where cleaning the contacts can have a significant improvement on the connection, etc.I have tried removing and reinserting the amp on my dx220. I'm not sure how it cause battery consumption, but I've seen about 2hours increase of battery. I used to have about 4-5hrs only.
