Did you try going back a couple firmware ? I heard some people say that it is caused by the firmware itself that was set to enable high gain on Amp9 with the tool and all that again

Yup, currently on firmware 1.12.149. Tried AMP9 too, same result. I think this is a problem with the volume knob hardware.

I asked few pages ago. Basically im not able to see the SD card properly but the internal storage works normally. I tried with different SD cards, upgraded/downgraded firmware, tried with modifications as Lurker or Fidelizer rom and nothing and yes, ports, cables and other pcs. Tried with other suggested apps but nothing. The only way that im able to transfer to the SD its to open an app like WiFile and over wifi, send the music but the transfer is veeeeeeery slowly. Its annoying to pull out the SD card every time that I want to transfer music, any idea? @Paul - iBasso ?

What format are the cards? Exfat or FAT 34 work fine. I have a number of test cards here in both formats but normally don't reformat.

It is pretty early to call Dx228EX . Remember, the Dx220 have to be EX too in order to call it out Dx228ex. I think to avoid confusion, it is better to call it Dx22-8EX, and that is regular Dx220+8EX

Vince! I am fine with the SQ of DX220 and amp8EX for now. If I get a chance to upgrade the DX220 to DX220EX I would do without hesitation.

Dynamic and separations will be the main things that got improved, but I aimed to retrieve those trebles density in a smooth and fluid ways. If you like Amp8EX, then the whole combo would be something very special. It is time to ask @aaf evo how he likes the combo. He has gone through the most recent DAP including SP2K as well.

Thanks for your input I couldn't find anyone who currently does the DX220 chassis mod jobs, so I just ordered one from Fidelizer guy. Hopefully, his mod is just as good as you've described.

I can’t tell about fidelizer mod . You would need someone who has it to give some inputs. I only know for sure that dx220 has a lot of potential, and modifying it would bring those potentials out. Of course different mods will have different potentials
