just upgraded to the new firmware and all things seems to be are working good. Only a notice: when i play an mqa file in Mango there's no the mqa indicator that instead is present in the android version.......

I would imagine you have tried different USB C cables. I use 2 Macs and it works fine on them and shows up.

After getting file transfer mode working , I reattempted with the two cables Manage to get one to connect.
But it’s crackling and really bad audio

Maybe get another USB C cable. I can use the dac mode and it works fine, good quality from Tidal.

Questions?
1 Is the Apple 10 W charger too much for the 220?
2 I assume that I will have to change to my Amp 8 in order to break it in. How many hours to break in this amp?
3 Anyone have any idea how long before we can buy the tube Amp 9?

I tried 3 difference USB A => C cables with my Macbook Pro 2015 and Audirvana:

- Ibasso DX220 cable: unable to recognize as DAC device, charging only
- Anker cable: crackling
- Sony cable: work well without any crackling

Did you have to re-scan your music in Mango player? I did and it won't scan my SD card. It fails part of the way through. It works fine in Hiby player though.

Maybe the file was corrupted? Did you put the zip in the root file on the ibasso itself? Mine worked ok after I finally downloaded it.

I did local update through WiFi with which I did for the first update.

Anything above 2 amps will give a normal charge with speed. The DX220 will use what it needs. Less than the 2 amps and the charging will be slower.

Your AMP8 has a circuit with chips, resistors, caps etc., and would need burn in.

on 3. Hopefully not too long. I really want to hear it and it should be fun

Wi fi is how I did it too. No issues. With some of my earlier ibasso daps I have a dedicated microsd card that only get used for update purpose. I format it every time, download the file and then copy it to the card, no unzipping. Insert into the dap and go through the local update process. Works every time.
