Wow, this would be the lowest duration of any dap I've encountered. Is it worth it? I presume the amp isn't changing. Which amps are being updated with the DX220 if any? It's not like 4.4mm balanced is unavailable on other daps either. Amp8 must be quite special or iBasso are just generally lagging behind others, especially with only one of their amps having that output.
Low ? What are you talking about ? I am trying to explain, but I think I am lost at what info you are looking for. I have the Amp8 running 7-8 hours when using FLAC only. If you want battery that last, go with Sony WM1A, they are unbeatable in Battery time. This is why I told you previously that the Wm1A is very different than Dx220. Remember, The Dx220 can have 70% charged up from 0% in 60 minutes, and that is easily 5 hours playtime

Lowest duration, lasts the shortest amount of time in comparison to other daps with 4.4mm balanced outputs.

How quickly does the battery degrade?

Judging from Dx200, many of the earlier model is in need of new battery. I would say that it is your typical Li-on packs....16-24 months. The battery cost about $25 shipped, and is swapped out in minutes

That is at least cheap and convenient. Seven hours is still remarkably short. How does this amp stack against the wm1a for instance?
Have you tried searching the DX200 thread for the term "WM1A"? You will get plenty of results and comparisons.

Amp8 easily is on par with WM1Z (depends on your preferences), the more expensive being ! I don’t mind about the battery....I never listened to my DAP more than 7 hours continuously. When I don’t, I just simply plug it charger in.

Just like @fuhransahis said, do some homework’s before you decide. The Dx200 and or Dx220 will be following the 15 days satisfaction guaranteed policy from Ibasso. After the date you received the DAP, you have a period of 15 days to return it to Ibasso

My X7II + AMP5 + HD650 give 4 hours max. I know Vince use HD800 with DX200 + AMP8 and 7-8 hours is simply sounds great for me.
What else you want? If you use IEMs or less power hungry headphones, the batter life will be more than 8 hours.

So all the Amp modules for DX200 will work with DX220? There is no new amp modules release specifically for DX220?

All the AMP series will work in both and in the DX150. The new AMP1mkII is totally different sounding compared to the original AMP1. A very full sound and not something that I think many would toss off to the side. The AMP8 sounds excellent on the DX220. iBasso has said they have a nu tube by Korg coming out, which would be a lot of fun. I think it is the AMP9 but not sure but it is supposed to be coming up very soon.

Why would there be any "specifically for DX220" when the modules have the same dimension and connectivity?

I think the meaning is modules voiced specifically for DX220 over 200/150. They may all be compatible, but some may be better than others, the AMP1MK2 was meant for DX220. AMP8 may sound good now but could benefit from DX220-specific optimization. I had that idea that modes could be put into Mango to alter filters, PEQ, other dac parameters to match each player optimally to each amp module.
