Guys, could anyone help me please to install the V1.16.242 on my dx220?
I have downloaded from the ibasso site and when I am going to local update is nowhere to be found.
Where should I copy the zip file to be seen on the internal storage?
Not to mention that on online update the new firmware it cannot be found.
Thanks

!!! How does your Clear sound out of your DX220 ?
I have Clear and Elegia. I listen to them out of MY DX220 AMP1's 3.5mm or AMP8's 4.4mm port. Either way I am not a fan of the sound. The sound is somewhat dirty.

For me, AMP1MK2 can properly drive my Focal Elear, I got it when still using AMP1Mk2.
Love the fluidity of Elear vocal using AMP9, and currently, getting the vocal detail with AMP8EX-FE.
Pairing with ifi micro iDSD BL, to get more power for Dynamic & a full drive of the cans.

Have anyone been trying new firmware and Amp9 ?
Yup, already did... always forgetting that u need to warm it first when u begin to play it.

I still use it until now... just saying,if you buy it, get the smoke color, the clear one will become yellowish after quite a while.

I was stuck on same thing. Unzip the first folder and inside you will find another 1.16 zip folder next to read me file. Dont unzip that one and just drop it in main storage. It will find it then.
If you cant see it you must have unzipped it.

I would do it,gladly . Witch app should use to unzipped?
I use 7-Zip - price is right (free) and it works.

Give it a try...

And here are the instructions from the readme.txt that explain what to do with the file once you unzip it:

Instructions For Firmware update:

1. Copy and paste the DX220-ota-full-1.16.242.zip to your SD card's root folder, or the DX220's internal memory.
2. Go to Android OS, press Settings-->System-->Updater-->local update, and tap the zip file.
3. The whole update will take about 10 minutes. Reboot the DX220 after update completed. You can also choose to do a factory reset at this time to clear any artifacts from the previous firmware.

One more thing - make sure your DX220 is at 30% or greater charge or the update won't begin.

Cheers,
Tim

Ok, So I am able to download the Firmware by the provided link, and then proceeded to upgrade the firmware without using a PC, all directly on the Dx220 itself!

Clip is here

1/ make sure you download an app called RAR
2/ download the firmware by chrome
3/ open the downloaded file and get to the next file
4/ click on this file and select it, then extract it
5/ choose the path of destination. This has to be internal storage by main root, or u can use default path and then move it later to the main root
6/ go to setting, status, updater, local update

done

My DX220 shut down again. I was listening to Tidal, then the screen suddenly turned black. For no logical reason
Battery was around 60 percent. The DX220 wasn't overheated and there weren't any problems. It resumes normal operation after turning it on back but why the hell this thing shuts down for NO REASON.

Enjoy the music (!!!)

My DX220 shut down again
If you use my add-on, please PM me for an instruction on how to collect system logs for investigation.
