I will let it burn in first before posting any sound comparisons but as far as the background goes the DX228 Ex is darker 100%, that’s not a knock to the SP2000 either which already is superb at it, this is just another notch above which is sort of hard to imagine but it’s for sure there.

yes, definitely let it burn in. The main unit is about 400 hours and Amp8EX is about 600 hours. But both can be very enjoyable since after 24 hours

Also if anyone is using the iBasso CA02 4.4mm adapter you may need to use the provided little circular pieces of plastic as a spacer for the AMP, without it I get some cut outs but with it on it is perfectly fine.

All streaming apps simply work on DX220 and output music at its original sample rate ? (Fiio and others have issues with Amazon Music )

I don't know if they all do, haven't used many but do use Amazon Music on the DX220 and the DX160 and in ultra HD, it plays all resolutions and works great, no issues at all on either. And when out and about, sometimes I use my phone as a hotspot and it works just like at home, no issues and very good sound!

just got amp9 what an amazing amazing sound, it is the most pleasurable sound I heard coming from a dap period

this is cauing me to think seriously about my desktop setup as this now will open wide gates for me to start looking into totl desktop tube amps for my planar headphones, I have ifi ican pro but it does not give me this amazing sound signature that I get form amp9.

what an amazing sounding dap dx220 is with this amp9
