That does seem slightly fast. Last night, I had 24/96 files playing, Mango OS, Amp9, 45 volume, high gain, hybrid IEM (Oriolus Mk2 via iEMatch). It took 4 hours from 100% to 45%. On 16/44 and 24/96, I typically get 1 hour from 100% to 90%. But it's not a constant drain so you should check by running until low. I've had mine for just over 2 months now and it gets used every day.

That's too short, your unit must be broken. I get much longer battery life with my DX220

My DX220 has been playing 512 bit / 944 gHz music for a month at AMP9 full volume, running an olympic stadium's entire speaker system.

Believe me or not, after a month of continuos runtime the battery shows just 96 percent ! At the current performance, the battery is expected to last for 25 months.

Thanks iBasso, this device is a wonder

Sounds stellar! Enjoy! :beerchug:

I ditched FiiO M11 that had snappy UI and good battery life because DX220 sounds better. That's all I care (battery is good enough). I was merely providing data.

I installed the Lurker firmware. Google Play came in, but I think Google Play is more of a disadvantage. You need to sign in with a google account, often pops up notifications about my Gmail etc. , it starts downloading and running unnecessary services like Google Play Protect antivirus.. Wasn't APKPure just better ? You could instal anything by one-tap and every application was already there.

Isn't it because you have installed Gmail by yourself?

Never saw such a beast even on my phone. Did you ask Google yourself?

I've disabled autoupdates and disabled Google protection initially, and install only apps what I need. No problems.

I did also quick measurements of battery life.
My setup: DX229 with latest firmware (.202) and Lurker0 add-on. Android Mango Player. Set 'high' gain and 'high output AMP9', volume 125 with RHA CL2 Planar. Wifi and BT switched off. I did try to avoid to switch on screen. Battery was quickcharged to 100% with QC3.0 supply.
Listened Deep Purple's ''In Rock'', ''Burn (30 anniversary remastered)'', ''Fireball'' and "Machine Head", DSD128, stored in internal storage. Total length is about 200 minutes.

DAP 'ate' 14% each hour.
Of course, I expect after <50% of charge battery behaviour might be a bit other..

... DAP 'ate' 14% each hour....

Exactly. In my tests it "ate" around 13% per hour, but I didn't play DSD and it was in Mango mode with a much lower normal listening volume.

Don't be confused with 'numbering' of volume level in MangoOS: in android you have 150 steps, in MangoOS only 100 (means, levels are the same, but granularity just different).

My earlier conclusion for MangoOS that it consumes somehow more power. I will do later another testing for listening the same DP albums in MangoOS and report.

I'm getting around 8hrs of playback with a stock amp1mk2, 2.5mm balanced output (low gain) playing at normal listening level a mix of mp3/flac files with display off and wifi/BT off, just occasional checking to note the battery level.

Lurker's firmware is quite good, my only concern is Google Play Services because it is not necessary and probably slows the device. I am working on erasing Google Play & Services completely. APKPure is more than enough to install any app.

By the way, my display "Luminance" setting in Mango OS is all the way down with black background. I still find this to be too bright in bed...

This morning 4am (100%) to 10:30am (2%) with 16/44 files.
