I realize that.
But is it just for DX220 because this seems to be not the case for DX200 in my hand.

I have a DX200 with AMP9 and it’s 150 for both Android and Mango

This one is probably about three years back (the tshirt).

Needed an age appropriate happy one. Based on ‘i <3 NY’.

But turned out to be ‘I Head pie Head pie’

New ones would be probably #headpiesucks (though that meme seems outdated now)

And most regulars to the instagram and FB group know Head pie is more about impenetrable word salad, hidden word codes, pretty pictures and memes..

Hmm maybe i should redesign a new tshirt,...one that everyone can disagree on...

:)

Hi all,
How are you guys burning in your amp 9?
For my amp1mk2, I had my player continuously charged while playing through the 2.5mm burn-in cable or a balanced headphone/iem, actively cooled by a USB fan, for 8 days consecutively.
I would charge till 100% (which was slow since I'm not using a QC3 charger and also discharging at the same time) and then unplug the power and let the battery drain down till about 10% before plugging in again.
So I managed to get at least 1 full charge and discharge cycle per day for the battery.
Would this also work for amp 9? I'm planning to get it soon together with an amp 8 but am more concerned for the amp 9 due to the tubes.

Thanks in advance!

Just by listening to it. I don’t care to leave my device running and playing just for burning in. Noticing the changes in sound is part of the fun.

I would not keep cycling the battery, you just use it up, so to speak (I would just keep it plugged in). 100 to 150 hours is a good point, but as mentioned, it is also nice to hear the changes.

When I take it off the charger and get the chance, the discharge is usually through my iems or headphones as I listen to them.
Surely that's a fun part I shouldn't miss out!
