I can name a number of mid-fi (not even flagship level) DAPs that sound better than X5iii (congested sound, high noise floor, etc). Going to DX220 will be quite a noticeable upgrade for you.

You do understand that neither your DAP's DAC or AMP matter when transmitting through bluetooth, right? Only the codec/sample rate and the receiver's DAC/AMP do. You could use a Sony NW-A45 and get the exact same sound over bluetooth.

You talking facts over believing. If one believes thats what really matters in this hobby.

Of course I know that. My point was that I was pleasantly surprised how good this sound bar sounded. I wasn’t being facetious and what you just stated should be known to anybody in this hobby for a while

I didn’t see that before. If you’re in the United States it’s only going to be another week probably before the second run of production is finished. Personally I would buy directly from the manufacturer over someone on eBay any day.

The stock AMP1 II is excellent and the AMP8 with the DX220 drives the Ether II very well. Andy of Mr. Speakers heard the combo and wanted the combo (at EXPONA) for his shows. That says a lot.

I opted to install my AMP8W that @Whitigir modified for me in my review unit. It pairs with both my Ether 2’s and my LCD2’s really well. I have found that the LCD2’s have a really pronounced detail and the Ether 2’s have a more cohesive balanced sound that is really pleasing.

So what's with the internals, I want specifics? And comparisons on sound. And all these interfaces are secondary. Sound is important. Already 2 weeks have passed from the 3 and specifics zero!!! In General, this dx220 is nothing more than a "Schrödenger cat"
