I’m torn between this and the SP2000, obviously different ends of the price spectrum though.

I think the only thing the AK has over the DX220 is four times the price. Should be a no brainer in my humble opinion

Well, I suppose one way to look at it is that you could buy the DX220, and if for any reason you weren't 100% happy, you could probably sell it on here easily at a small discount and try the SP2000 instead. Not sure if it would work so easily the other way round (selling an SP2000 quickly and easily here)

I would rate DX220 as very transparent, you can really tell the differences in every single album

Oh my goodness....I just realized one more thing

The DX220 is capable of Bluetooth LDAC on both ends, recipient or host. This means if I had a DMP-Z1...or any Sony wireless I could use the LDAC connection! The same as DX200.....QoBuz now can be streamed! Via LDAC.

Could anyone help me and confirm to me that Streaming Bluetooth from DX220 toward LDAC headphones is happening ? Thank you

I’m listening Audeze Mobius with dx220, the sound through LDAC is comparable to cable.

So installed the Advanced ROM on DX220 just a bit back, and so far listening from my U12T, my initial impressions are very much inline to what @Whitigir had mentioned in his impression for the ROM on DX200, to quote him:

"Total improvement is 10-15%: better boot time !! better Dynamic, better transient energy, more musicality and fluidity, which all of them help in improving a better imagines, and so it brings a more realistic timbres with a very very slight touch of warmth. Less grainy edges texture."

It sounds more musical and fluid to me now. OS seems a bit less laggy now though too!

On these notes, does anyone use or mind trying a blue light filter app and see if it works well? I use the Twilight app on my DX200 and while it works for much of the screen, it doesn't work on everything, some of the Android OS menus maintain their regular light and brightness.

Not a deal breaker but surely a nice to have/improve

Good call, I didn't think to try a 3rd party app, just downloaded Blue Light Filter - Night shift from APKpure. I'll let you know how it goes. Looks like it works well

Qobuz app is the worst part of qobuz though. Even adding song to playlist is slow.
It makes Tidal app looks like a great app.
