is this a DX200 beta version George?
That is my understanding.I am really sorry to both of you, I confused threads and thought this was the DX220 thread, I don't think there is one out quite yet for DX200, but I do guess that the changes that are coming to DX220, in regards to better volume integration with AMP9, will also come to DX200.
I wonder if there is any input lag when using this as a dac for computers? Thanks
Still no firmware updates for DX150/200 users with AMP9
I find it quite complicated to install Fidelizer ROM. I prefer Original with Lurker mod to further extend my battery life, still works perfectly. When Amp9 was released, the fw for dx200/150 came just a bit later but when it comes to this fw with high/low gain option it has been like 2 weeks now(?) This is sad, it is like iBasso is forcing us to upgrade to the latest model.I know. Strange that iBasso is making us wait but Fidelizer has updated ROMs based on the latest DX220 firmware:

I installed Fidelizer 1.13 on my DX150 and can confirm AMP9 now has low and high gain settings.
Still waiting for the official update from iBasso tailored to my device but, for now, Fidelizer may be a good option for the DX200. Installation is a bit more involved compared to official updates but I found as long as Verity is properly disabled (player should auto reboot if done correctly) the process goes smoothly.

It does not mean it works. Just like DF filter settings from DX220 are there but they don't work on DX150.I installed Fidelizer 1.13 on my DX150 and can confirm AMP9 now has low and high gain settings.

I also an advocate for the high/low gain idea, I commented on the DX220 thread because it is more crowded there. I don’t think the Max version will affect as much as it don't have interchangeable amp module.Agreed. Not good making users of their other daps wait. I even emailed iBasso after getting AMP9 and suggested high/low settings for it should be in the next firmware. DX150 was also released after DX200 but no update for either yet. Wonder how long DX220 users will have to wait for updates once DX220 Max is released?
FYI, I ended up installing the Fidelizer firmware and then the latest DX220 firmware so that I could use the PMEQ that comes standard on that load. Also loaded the Lurker firmware and downloaded Neutron Player through Google Play. In both cases boosted the bass and for 90% of the music it sounded fine, but for 10% of my music with prominent bass already (EDM and other) I ended up with annoying distortion in the bass - happened through every set of headphones I own.
Coincidentally I also recently found a Lotoo Paw Gold for a great price so I bought it and in comparison with the same PMEQ settings there’s no noticeable distortion.
