  Any comparisons with the QP1R?

Both are very resolving. (I prefer either of them to the AK320/380.) The DX200 has a lower noise floor than the QP1R with sensitive IEMs. The volume-control knob on the QP1R is much easier to access and turn than that on the DX200. The QP1R's scroll wheel can be awkward until you install that urethane film (those films are being supplied free to QP1R owners these days). Both have USB DAC functionality. Neither let you install Google Play store apps, however, maybe one day...

  ''  Il y a quelques appareils qui font mieux, mais ils sont aussi beaucoup plus cher que ce DX200. ''
Google translate =>
'' There are some devices that do better, but they are also much more expensive than this DX200. ''

so is not there with ak 380 or plenue s?

He is talking about highs only on this.

You can easily side-load many Android apps (I talked about it HERE), and Paul indicated iBasso is working to allow installation of Google Play store to accommodate paid apps.  QP1R is not an Android DAP, so it's not capable to support apps, and never will.  QP1R actually has a similar firmware and GUI as non-android FiiO and Cayin daps (made by the same people).

I would respectfully refer you back to the little cartoon at the end of my post.

Thanks for the input. Though I would love a more detailed comparison between the two. I have a qp1r and already placed an order for dx200. It seems that in terms of UI/features dx200 is miles ahead. Sound quality is really a toss-up I guess

My reviews about ready to go.

I want to include the next firmware update in the review, so will post it up then.

In the meantime doing some cable comparisons

I have dusted off my AK320 just to give it a shot in comparison with DX200 using my new Fitear 333. DX200 has a very tight and controlled bass while AK320 sound a bit loose. Also very noticeable from my impression is that DX200 has better detail definition than AK320 which gives DX200 better imaging and element separation within the soundstage. I only listened to "Back in Black" by AC/DC and "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk.

The difference is more obvious with AC/DC than Daft Punk's. AK320 will definitely with the beauty pageant contest between the 2 but DX200 to me will win the talent portion especially if it's singing

Reading a couple of posts above. I see that iBasso has replied a page back or so that the screen action, action on its own, is something the next FW is addressing. Also it is commented above that the DX200 is bright. I guess, know, we all hear things differently, but I don't hear this. I have the Sony WM1Z and in comparison, the DX200 isn't bright but has a little better detail. In comparison to the Hugo, directly out or my desktop amp in the chain, the DX200 isn't bright either. Of course this is my ears but I know bright and don't like it.

I understand what you mean but dx200 really brightens my 846. I was using my a12 for most times but it feels amazing to listen my 846 again. It never sounds this good before.
