Can anyone speak to how well the DX200 works as a desktop DAC? I want a device that has the new ES9023, so I'm trying to talk myself into spending $800.
Many people are asking this kind of question so let me answer once and for all. DX200 is one of the least colored DAP on the market, so it's compatible with almost any IEMs or headphones. The DX200 is like a piece of white blank paper. So what color you used on it is what color you get. Basically what you hear is the sound signature of whatever IEMs you pair with dx200 cuz dx200 is not doing any coloration except huge soundstage, great separation and analytical ability. So what you hear is the own sound signature of your IEMs with enhanced technical ability. No tune dilution or frequency boost is added to your IEMs with the dx200.
