The USB-C is on the top and it is regular charging at 1.5 amperes per hour.
We are getting much closer. We have new boards coming in. The sound elevates above the DX100 with a beautiful extended treble and natural midrange. The bass is solid and extended. These are all things you would expect to hear from a manufacture but I think many are in for an enjoyable musical experience.
did i read correctly from the external forum post? 2 X ESS 9028pro in DX200?
heat and battery life could be a concern?

Yeah. I am surprised at how they apply 2x 8-channel DAC.
Yes. 2x ESS9028 PRO. If everbody think that heat is an issue, then they may consider changing it to 1x ESS9028 Pro.
They have already finalized their design. I think they would base their technical choices more on their own testing and expertise than on "If everbody think that heat is an issue".
Hifiman and Fiio X7 already use similar setups (with ESS9018 which also has 8 channels) and sound great (especially the 901).

Thank Mim! Wow That makes me would like to test DX200 much more. Ibasso are doing it.

In theory, when correctly implemented, 8 used DAC channels could improve somewhat the specs and measurements.
Edit: According to the baidu post, iBasso didn't receive the ES9028PRO chip samples until August due to delays in shipping and they then needed to make adjustments on the player and hardware infrastructure to get everything right, hence the delay. It also says that the design of the PCB is now finalised and that production will start soon.
from their posts...
ibasso rep mentioned that they are tweaking or have tweaked the battery or current in the DAP, ensuring optimum current supplying to the earphone hole.
currently they are trying to improve heat dissipation of the DAP because alot of heat is generated from the DAC.
