Not sure how to use it in my chain...

I currently have WD HDD -> OTG cable -> DX200. This means I can’t charge simultaneously while playing music.

Would I use the iDefender like this:

WD HDD -> OTG cable -> iDefender** -> USB-A female to USB-C male adapter -> DX200

** with a power source attached to the side of the iDefender?

Would the OTG function be maintained through this chain?

Otherwise I was thinking of using a hub like this:

Could this hub work if the iDefender doesn’t?

The link of usb hub is for macbook. cannot apply to DX200. iDefender is the only option to have both data playback + charging.

It's just a USB hub. Why do you think there are USB hubs for Apple products only?

Because I mostly see the picture of macbook connect with this hub when they are advertising the product. So I thought it is for macbook.

Artpiggo, do you use that flow chart you show? That is, the iDefender can access the data from the HDD (without the need for an OTG cable), pass the data to DX200, and also at the same time charge the DX200 (if a power bank/source is attached to the side of the iDefender)?

Is Tidal apk bitperfect or resampled through Android mixer?

I've been wondering this as well. If resampled I was going to use UAPP, but I guess it's currently got a little bug with a near deafening outcome....at least it wants to make you deaf bit perfectly

I'm using UAPP with tidal everyday with no problems.

If you're referring to the audio output not working in bit perfect mode with the HiRes driver enabled, I reached out to the developer about it and he has a fix in place. *Edit - Looks like he already updated the app yesterday. I haven't tried that version yet.

I'm using UAPP with tidal everyday with no problems.

Version 4.2.0 is OK, but 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 are broken on DX200. I've already notified the developers.

Tidal offline is inferior to UAPP in terms of SQ.
