I am probably going to wait for the balanced cable as the DX200 is only really for portable use and there is not a lot of that really.
Having said that often I lie in my bedroom with the DAP and my Hifiman HE1000, and they sound really good considering its a DAP powering them. I hope the DX200 can do this too.

That is what the post says and what has been said for some time. AMP4 is 4.4 TRRRS. Am I misunderstanding something?

Not at all, AMP4 is 4.4 mm balanced and AMP5 3.5 mm single end more power then other amps released.

Don't know now if I need amp4, sound different, or amp3 more for se power. My Aeon might need amp5 more since it is harder to drive.

More likely in my opinion, in the future 4.4 mm balanced will become a standard ,as it is more resistant and versatile.
So amp4 is a must i would say.

Just received my AMP3, and I must say, it sounds great. Maybe a little bit warm for now, but I was wondering if anyone experienced any changes after burn-in for their AMP3? Perhaps my ears just have to get used to it.

Also, are there any adapters that will safely allow me to plug a 3.5mm unbalanced cable into the 2.5mm balanced output of the AMP3? My first thought when switching over to the AMP3 was that this amp was made for my Grados, so I'm hoping there's a way to safely do it without damaging the amp. Thanks everyone!

No there is no such adapter for 3.5 single end cable to become 2.5 BL without damaging amp module.
All you need is to cut the plug and re cable to 2.5 BL
