The seller brought a 4.4 cable for me to give it a quick test for operation only. Made the N8 sound so nice. I can't wait for my DIY cables to be made for me. I'm back to using the AMP7 for now, which is nice but I prefer the AMP4.
Thank you mate! I owe you a big one. Hang on to it till your DIY 4.4mm comes back so that you can give the AMP4 a better listen .

We’ll sort it out later. Again owe you a big one! Thx again!

You can officially stop looking for that AMP4 now.

If that amp4 has been modified to another level it would make your jaw dropping! :L3000:

Don't tempt me. I bought one for myself just a week or so ago and I got to listen with it for about a week while I had the sample DIY cables to test out. Made my decision on a couple of them and now I'm waiting for mine to be made. So when I went about trying to find an AMP4 for AnakChan, I had to find a seller that had a cm 4.4 cable for me to test the AMP4 before buying it. Luckily this guy, nice guy too, had one and the short listen made me realise how much I miss that sound already. I'm back home giving the AMP7 a test run with the power hungry HE6 (un-modded). I'm getting a balanced 4.4 cable made for the HE6 so I will get to try it with the AMP4 and AMP8. It will be interesting to see how it will sound with them.

Is there enough power to drive the HE6? It’s got a sensitivity of 83.5dB. I have the Susvara (which isn’t far off at 83dB). I’ve not been able to drive the Susvara properly out of any desktop amps I have (which was the Zana Deux and WA8 - yes I know not surprising for either of them). I drive the Susvara out of my McIntosh MC275 speaker amps instead. I’d be (very pleasantly, no...make that ecstatic) surprised if any of the DX200 amps can drive the Susvara.

Amp8 is the most powerful modules from my own observations, the Amp4 is good (sound performances, some would even pick it over stock Amp8 ), but it greatest down fall is that it is a little too gentle on the power factor. Also that 4.4mm socket :)

I'm surprised! I'm not even at max (~136-142) in pure Mango and there's sufficient volume to drive the Susvara! Even the NW-WM1Z nor the WA8 could. And each time I listened to the Susvara, I thought I needed to power on my MC275. Of course there are differences driving the Susvara off the Amp8 vs the MC275 but at least I can drive the Susvara off a DAP.

Way to go DX200+Amp8!

FYI: Volume in Android USB-DAC App HiBy doesn't seem to be as loud as Pure Mango mode - volume number for volume number.

Yepe! And the Amp8 is capable of so much more :)

Also one of the reason why I am not missing WM1Z :D

That's exactly my experience with the DX200+AMP7 with the HE6. Sure it will sound better with my desktop amps but it is not bad with the 7. That's why I am interested to see how it will do with the 8 and the 4.4 cable. I hope to get the cables within a week or so. Giving the HD800 with DX207 right now.

Ok, now (thx to you guys) I’ve got the Susvara driven off the DX208, it seems Pure Mango switches off the DX200 at random in the middle of listening sessions. I can power on and listen again but a little annoying.

I think I’ve read about this bug somewhere in this super long thread. Too sleepy now & will try to find the bug tomorrow.

Is there a chance that you've set up sleep timer in the settings?

Hi,
Is the Susvara work with mono tube blocks also?
No reviewer test that yet!
