For those wondering, the VERNUS was a limited release item and will not be released again. Only 100 were made, and only 100 were released. However, we may release similar types of limited release items in the future.

No way IMO. It's probably going to be a Blessing 2 competitor instead of Monarch competitor. Look at the treble, you just can't do it against the tribrids like Variations or Monarch or Oracle.
The SA4 has an MSRP of around 320 and it comes with DUNU's cheaper Q-Lite cable originally bundled with the Falcon Pro.

Not to mention the Vulkan's driver config: 2 DDs and and 4 BAs, with DUNU's premium cable? No way is the Vulkan 300ish.

I predict the Vulkan is going to be around 600 unless DUNU is using Zen drivers which would put the price astronomically higher. (Around 2 grand.)

I'd be honestly shocked if the Vulkan is less than 500.

I think there's a high chance that you'll be shocked then :)

The only reason the Vulkan might be less than 500 is because the Vulkan uses Titan S drivers?

Can't think of any other reason.

I'll definitely consider the Vulkan as my next IEM purchase if the price is right, the FR looks solid.

The graph looks so promising. Only 5db ear gain centering at 3kHz is rare, given how every “well tuned” IEM nowadays give 10db or more at that region. Seem to have excellent energy above 15kHz as well. Hopefully the price is friendly enough.

Since the cat's already out of the bag, we'd like to provide our own point of reference for measurements. Let's talk again in a week or so. Get ready for some explosive fun.

I'm doing some Vulkan graph comparisons on Precog's squig.link right now.

Vulkan treble looks to be very similar to the Mangird Tea.

FR suggests the Vulkan has a fairly thick, laidback sound with proper pinna gain and decent treble extension, a winner in my books.

Curious to know why DUNU choose to put 2 DDs on the Vulkan? It's not that common to see more than a DD on most IEMs.

the Aladdin is my best under 300$ iem, in some ways I prefer it over the variations, its really great just doesn't receive much publicity. they came out with an EST model recently that is like 650$ I bet its amazing
I have that EST model (Moonlight) on the way. Very excited for it! I really loved the Aladdin for the most part but ultimately felt the treble was too polite with somewhat blunted transients, hoping the Moonlight gives some more detail and sparkle up top.

The Vulkan boasts a dedicated DD for the mids and a better number of BAs up top, which could make it an Aladdin with improved midrange timbre and better transients in the treble region hopefully. I'm tapped out of funds currently after the Moonlight purchase but the Vulkan remains on my shortlist.

I was hoping to get a Vulkan to review but dont think thats happening now, im tempted to buy the moonlight as well but I spent alot this year on the XS, HE6se and Sundara lol. I didnt notice any issue with the aladdin treble, I did have a pain from time to time with the fit and included tips though.

You want the real similarity?

Boom.

Oh interesting. Aladdin was another I was briefly tempted by recently, now I'm even more curious to compare with VULKAN!
