The EST112 are quite versatile. With the JVC EP-FX9 tips, the Cayin RU6 they are excellent. In particular for metal, it is detailed with a nice stage width. We gain in depth Thanks to the tips. The treble is precise, with a beautiful shine, without being aggressive, which contributes to imagery. I even prefer them on this point to MEST MK2. Beautiful separation, fast lows And mediums in front of the scene in too much to do, it is a success. I find that they are easy to drive but benefit from being used in 4.4mm on the RU6 which is an incredible dongle with some Intras and not with others ...Je n'ai jamais ramassé EST112 en fait, un que je suis toujours curieux d'essayer. J'avais SA6 et il n'avait certainement pas le même niveau de déballage - je ne sais que brièvement mais j'apprécie une bonne expérience de déballage !

It would be necessary to test the Vulkan with the JVC EP-FX9 which gave excellent results with the 112 at home. It's the same shell, the same nozzles. Best bass and treble extension with it. I also suggest the RU6 which gives good results with hybrids and full ba ... but not with mest mk2 strangely

I'll definitely have to try them. Oh and on the subject of MEST MKII, I prefer VULKAN also!
This set is amazing
If you could compare the details and sound texture to the Timeless, how would you describe it?
And if possible, could you compare the stage and holographicness to Z1R? These are one of the highest benchmarks in the matter
Sorry for asking, you're one of the few who has the Vulkan
I tested the pre-production unit of the Vulkan a few weeks back.
To cut to the chase, the Vulkan beats the Timeless in timbre, tonality and technicalities. The Timeless has a very 2D compressed soundstage, very artificial sounding timbre for acoustic instruments, and is a bit hot in the treble. I think the Vulkan is much more refined and more than a league or 2 ahead of the Timeless, but then again, it is different transducer technology and price brackets, so maybe an apples to oranges comparison.
As for Z1R, it has better soundstage and bass than the Vulkan, but Z1R has very bad fit for me (YMMV, might be good fitting for others), and I found the Z1R to have too much midrange recession for my personal preference, so not really a fan of the tonality. I think the Z1R is selling in a different price bracket though.
As is almost anything you paid the RU6 with! This set is amazing
How much is the Vulkan tho?
And anyway I read that you wrote that it is the best iem under 1K. Try listening to Oriolus Isabellae.Yes definitely, to my ears anyway. I sort of wish it had been sent with no prior indication of price! The unboxing etc is up there with the ZEN / ZEN PRO.

A personal opinion based on what I've heard. Isabellae is fantastic and definitely punches above it's weight but for me, it was a bit more of a specialist rather than a generalist.

I find VULKAN works well with any genre, as is the case also say for Aroma Audio Thunder as another example. Isabellae I found was excellent with acoustic music, vocals, modern classical - but not great with some electronic genres, so it becomes more specific to particular genres in my library - but does them incredibly well, and often better than much more expensive IEMs.

Elysian X is my top choice for electronic music, Traillii for most others. At the moment anyway...

Those spiral dot tips made a very noticeable improvement to my Sony xba-n3, a more refined bass sound. This set is amazing
