DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread

Yeah, it’s tricky to convey the points about sound, without relying on poorly defined jargons that maybe only the writer understands (or not).
What? It's easy, here is my review of xyz IEMs:

Der' gooder, go head and buyem' up quick! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Seriously though, you tend to make it look easy (though I know damned well it is NOT).

For some IEMs, it is indeed that easy :dt880smile: Nice to “see” you. It has been a while.

Have I missed product roadmap from Dunu this year? I remember this time last year, the discussion was all about the mysterious IEM that turned out to be Vulkan, and the SA4 (which never appeared in Australia).
You haven`t missed out anything. The SA4 is still only available via chinese domestic market.
Personally i like this version, got it since release.

Cause of feedbacks, Dunu decided to redevelope it for the international market as SA4(R).
But it seems, either they need more time to release it or have discarded the international SA4. Meanwhile they were not idle. There were still Vernus, SA6 Ultra, Talos and Kima, new SS Tips, DTC100, Amber, Hulk Pro Mini aso.

Cheers

Looking forward to the eventual, limited release Dunu SA10 Ultra.

On a serious note, I know you can't release too much information at the moment, but I'm going to shoot my shot. The SA6 shell is perfection for me, do you know if the SA10 will be significantly larger?

This is not an update to the EST 112. The SA10 is an expansion to the Studio line and an entirely new IEM.
Have you named this before in this thread? I don't recall seeing the name SA10, so if you did I apologize for missing it.

We are pleased to announce a first look at the next addition to the Studio line coming later this year, the SA16 - a 12 BA + 4 EST model that will fill the TOTL spot.

Additionally, we will be releasing the SA10, the 6 BA + 4 EST Model sometime in the new year. We are unsure if it will come before or after the SA16.

Please note, these shells and faceplates are very early prototypes that are subject to change. The tuning is as well, as we are building these with direct feedback.

Just to make it extra clear even though I know you’re joking: these models will not be a limited release.

We are not sure at this point shell size. Those details are very up in the air.

No

Are we to never see another DN/DK series IEM again? :frowning2:

Those look very nice! I am assuming from your comments that the pictures are of the SA16???

Can’t comment on that, bit too early but rest assured DDs aren’t going away from our lineup any time soon. Just can’t speak to more of that now.

Yes, pictures are of a an early prototype SA16.

I think the Villain is technically a DK series IEM, no?
You mean VULKAN? Yes it officially is one. DK-X6.

Good call, I just looked up the Vulkan on their site, and it is labeled as DK-X6.

Edit: LOL @Sebastien Chiu beat me to the post by 2 minutes.
