@DUNU-Topsound are you able to share some detail about the flagship IEM cable, new desktop amplifeir that was debut in the Shanghai headphone expo this weekend?

Please accept my apology for the late reply as I can introduce this briefly. The first thing is the cable, whose main conduct material is a kind of special OCC, more advanced and special in either the technique or the tuning than any OCC cable we ever produced. There is something more special about the conduct and it will be shown at the right time. The out is the multi-mesh layer for protection of the cable and anti-interference. This cable is specifically designed for the flagship DD IEMs and might be pricy. The AMP is still a prototype and is designed for both headsets and IEMs. The outer shell is made of 6063 aluminum brick by CNC machining, the anti-resonance ability and shielding effect are better than the common case of splicing structure. It is aimed at achieving high-level technical index and tuning.

Hey have a question. My first intro to Dunu was the 2001, then the 3001. The 3001 was my go to for a few years it was so good. And looking forward to this new cable and an upcoming new hybrid IEM.

Speaking about cables, there has been discussion about what manufacturers do in regards to selling their IEM's with the stock cable, and how that works into the development process. Are your IEM's sold with the expectation that people will upgrade them or do you send a specific cable with x properties out as the stock cable? Or is it just way more casual than that?

Is it safe to assume you make multiple iterations of a IEM to get to or find the sound you want to bring to market? So during this entire process of getting the IEM to where you are happy enough with it to bring it to market, do you maintain a sort of chain integrity throughout this process? From the source to the cable basically. But especially the cable. Do you keep the cable the same during the process or is it just grab any random cable that reaches x spec. how do you decide which cable to ship as the stock cable with your IEMs? Does it relate to the development stage in any way? How similar is the stock cable vs the development process cables, etc...

Would love to get a little insight on this fascinating process. Thanks!

The DUNU X GIZAUDIO Da Vinci is a 2DD + 4BA hybrid that was showcased at the recent Singapore Can Jam.



This is a balanced U-shaped set, tonally quite all-rounded, with more mid-bass/lower mids - and hence note weight - than the previous Chopin collab. Textured and fast bass, with clean midrange and nice treble extension.

It has decent timbre, with a good display of technicalities.

I would consider this as a solid midFI hybrid, certainly quite competitive. It was retuned for the Can Jam Singapore show, this V3 (it is also the final version) showcases more mid-bass than the previous iteration from gathered feedback.

Indeed, I actually preferred the Da Vinci by far to the AFUL Cantor - actually, many participants found the Cantor overly bright in the treble (BTW the show participants have also given feedback to the HIFIGO reps, and they say this will likely involve retuning the Cantor).
