Doesnt make sense to buy the d2kj now.
Seems like the dn2002 will be the successor in the 300$ range

Oh - so how do they compare (assume you've heard them?)

Not a good idea to write a review from impressions at a meet or hi-fi event in my experience.  Fleeting impressions are exactly that - fleeting.

Usually kinda noisy, too. Not the best listening environment, I imagine. Not like I'd know. Portland isn't exactly known for meets

Dunu make excellent IEMs with V-shaped sound sigs so you're in the right place. Stay tuned for their release next year.

The DN-2002 is definitely the model that DUNU intends on releasing for people who want textured, deep, and impactful bass. I made some suggestions on improving the bass response (don't worry bassheads, I didn't tell them to reduce the quantity --- merely suggested they work on improving bass depth and texture) in October, and apparently, along with others' and the suggestions I made, they've made some improvements and the tuning is said to be 99.9% finished. But I haven't heard the revised versions.
