My god he's right!

So DT770/600 has a GIANT bass rolloff? And I thought the 600-ohm versions were supposed to be more balanced across the frequency spectrum. Could it be a bad measurement?

I'm going to use them with a Schiit Asgard, so I'll get the 250-ohm DT990.

I don't judge a headphone by graphs, but it is a good indication at how different the 770/600ohm is vs. the 32/250ohm.

Ironically, Zombie_X who has tried all DT770/880/990s of recent years, stated the 770/600 had the fullest bass out of the Premium 770s.

I checked the tracking in my 770/600, and it should be here Monday/Tuesday. I'll let you know how the bass is. As long as it's close to the 880s bass, I'll be happy.

Darn, I just bought my ATH-M50s a few days ago. Then again, these are my first set of real headphones so I guess it's not that bad. The DT 990 sure looks comfortable, though...

I don't think you should feel too bad. The M50s are awesome. I wouldn't mind owning them again as my closed pair of headphones... they're a joy to listen to, and for such an affordable price.

I highly recommend trying the 840 pads on the M50. Easily twice as comfortable, and a cheap treatment for upgraditis.

As said before though, the M50s sound great, especially for the price. No need for buyers remorse on this one.
