After looking in the forum for hours at end, I think I've found the headphones I wanted. I mainly listen to classical music and I don't like much bass. The cans I looked into were the HD-600, AKG K 702, AKG K501 and DT 880-600.
I came to the conclusion that DT 880-600 suited me money wise and needs.

But now to the amp, I wonder if this amp can give enough juice to the DT 880-600
the amp:

If not I don't get the desirable amount of juice from that amp, then I will rather choose AKG K 702, which should work if what people say on the forum is right, about it doesn't need "that" strong of an amp.

the k701/702 isn't the easiest can to drive. do some research, there's a ton of information here-  i enjoyed my 701s with a wa6- also sound damn good out of the c2-sa

I'm looking around for another amp, I'm looking to play music from my computer, with an amp and headphones. How would I do that?

I want a Amp/DAC So I'm wondering about the NuForce Icon uDAC-2, Will it give enough enough power? Most of the amps which people reccomend are tube amps. should I compare what output of watt they have to the NuForce with ohm. or something else? I am having truble with knowing if the amp is good enough.

Hi, I bought the same headphones and they sound beautifully out of my integrated amp's jack. Some integrated amps have really good jacks. The DAC I use is stand alone and it's an HRT Music Streamer 2. Absolutely happy with it. If you have an existing speaker-based hi-fi setup you might try such a combination. If not, people usually recommend the Woo Audio 3 OTL tube amp for these, and again you might add to that an HRT streamer 2. I haven't heard the woo audio so I can't comment.

that sound like a good, the computer I have is a HP pavilliion, about 4 year old. with a Audigy 2 ZS Which is a neither good or bad card. Tough I doubt it will give me enough power. I guess I have to have a tube amp, as much as i would want to have the Audio 3 OTL I doubt I have to money. I live in Norway so shipping isin't cheap and hi-fi headphones isin't a big market in here so online is the only option. I may have to choose the secound best here, sadly as I don't want to.

I've heard about the HRT streamer 2 before it got quite the good review. So if i add a tube amp I'll buy that, also if I choose to upgrade my card, (have to upgrade mothercard too then, as i don't have  pci express port) I 'm not sure about my card going to look into it.

hmm I'm looking at the MKIV, could someone recommend a good site to buy them from?

Some small problems I see with it. It uses a type-B power cable, I'm in Europe so we have type-C power cables.
and the tubes I'm a bit worried about, should I buy a few extra's as they could break after a while?
how long do these tubes usually hold before dying?

Also it looks so fragile, I wonder if it will break on the trip over half the globe.

don't bother with the 600 ohms if you aren't going to invest good money into an AMP. They need a powerful amp to come alive and i think a uDac2 isn't going to cut it.

Your are right I ain't sure what to buy, **** I can't even decide what amp or headphones to get. There I think I'm going for some less expensive stuff and going up from there if I see it needed.
Sorry about this, haha haaa :frowning2:

looking at Sennheiser HD595/Audio-Technica ATH-M50 and uDac2 Nwavguy posted quite a review about the udac2 so wondering about it...
Also I'm considering the FiiO E7, but I would prefer to have 24 bit support in case.

I wish choosing was easy dammit. :frowning2:

And I'm thinking more of and all around headphone now, not only classical.

you could try the 32ohm version, I've no  experience with them though. The 600ohm's on my setup still feel like they're holding back something so it's time to try some toooobs for me!
