MQA-certified devices were again presented last week.
This news should have no effect on their operation, but raises the question of the continuity of Tidal's "HiFi Plus" offer, completely intertwined with the MQA production chain.
MQA Ltd never seemed willing to release an encoder/decoder, so the few MQA files in circulation might just be unplayable for years to come.
Other way around.Most of iFi product is based on their own unique DSD1792 DAC implementation. DSD1973 is a super old chip (*going back a few decades) so naturally it doesn't support MQA by its own.

According to TIDAL as of July 24 2024, they no longer support TIDAL.So as of today Tidal is the only source of MQA audio content?
