  Well, I received an email from Donald a few days ago in which he explained about a delay on the chassis. He said it should arrive around the second week of September. When that happens he will let me know how much more I will wait.
 
I don't mind waiting, I know it will be worth it when it arrives.  
 
I will roll lots of tubes on the stratus but most of the rolling will be done after I get the Schiit Yggy. Hopefully they will match up well

For anyone interested I'm selling an unused KR 5U4G and pearl cyro 61NP here http://www.head-fi.org/t/736085/ken-rad-5u4g-pearl-cyro-61np.  The KR is unused.  The 61NP is actually gold grade plus (not just gold grade), looks like its now unavailable from parts express.  Only used ~ 10 hours.  Add a set of shuguang 2a3 nature sounds and you have a very good setup for HD800's.  See http://www.head-fi.org/t/609800/dna-stratus-2a3-amplifier-first-impressions/1920 post 1921.

Just grabbed gsr108's Pearl gold grade plus 6N1P... Will compare with my gold grade 6N1P to see if there is any difference. Anyway, congrats to gsr108 on his new amplifier acquisition!

really very nice!  warm fuzzies!  I wonder if Donald might be willing to post that on his DNA Stratus webpage. That is an iconic image, suffused in DNA blue.

  The Sophia Electric Princess 2A3s have burned in for 70-90 hrs now, and they seem to have stabilized. I like their SQ, excellent presence, a bit underpowered in the deep bass, but it's all there. They do not sound as slow and rounded off on the fast transients as they did after 0-40 hrs, and they definitely sound clearer with more resolution now than the NOS RCAs. I would choose these over the NOS tubes that are here.
 
Then I put the EML meshplates back in. They have been sitting, having burned in for >160hrs. Their SQ is really quite similar to the SQ of the Princess 2A3s -- makes me think that the main sources of the SQ now are the Bricasti M1 DAC, the i/c, and the Stratus. I really enjoy the presence, the feeling of "you are there". And now I really enjoy the deeper micro-detail, the control, the sense of solidity, and the outstanding clarity of these EMLs. The bass is outstanding, which gives the sense of presence a real visceral quality, easy to drift into emotionally and just enjoy the music.
 
So, at present, my order of preference is EML mesh, Sophia Princess, NOS RCA blackplates, and then stock Shuguang.
