So I was looking at a couple of IEM's (universal).

I wanted the best of the best and also ones that are very good for techno/rap/other bass genres.

My options were:
JVC FX-700
Monster Turbine Pro Gold
Monster Turbine Copper
Monster Miles Davis

I chose the JVC's. Did I make a good choice?

Also, do these work with the Shure Olives?

it's never a good idea to ask such a question afterwards...what's done is done, so why not embrace and appreciate it.

Nope, you didn't make a good choice. Go get the SM3

As a closed earphone, it won't be able to sound as natural as the FX. I have not heard the Copper, but I have heard the MD and IE8. In terms of portraying realism, those two didn't measure up to the FX. Try closing the vent at the back of FX, then you will know what I mean.
