Dethonray Dtr1 Prelude high resolution player

Oh, so you are looking to play and stop a single track at a time (vse ponyal :D). That's kind of rare. I think developers would go for something like that when there are multiple requests from customers, but not sure if there is enough demand?

Yes, it is clear that the audiophile must suffer. I'm used to the fact that on my ancient HiFiman 603 there is also no stop after playing one track and much more. I write because there is a legend about Anson's responsiveness to the needs of users of his DTR1.

Here is an example of a reasonable organization of the player's operating modes:

By default, player starts in None mode. This mode will play your Playlist and stop after last track. When you turn on Repeat Playlist mode, all tracks in the main Playlist pane will play once and then begin playing again. Repeat Playlist mode will play your Playlist and return to the beginning to cycle through again when it reaches the end.
To play only one audio track repeatedly, please select Repeat Track mode. Select this mode to repeat the audio track that is currently playing.
With Shuffle mode you can listen to your tracks over and over again but in a different order each time. Shuffle mode will randomize the playback of your Playlist.
And last one is Stop after this track mode. The name speaks for itself. It is useful if you need to stop playing after the current track.

It is unfortunate that the most important operating modes (No. 1 and 5) are not in DTR1

Cool! You can write a email like this to Anson, Maybe he will add a play mode like this.I have mentioned folder playback, he told me he had added that function in his lists. But now all the team are focusing on timestamp bugs and other format support. I am a system test engineer, so I know when adding some small functions will take more time to redesign all the software logic and a total test. So contact anson now!

absolutely necessary function with playing the next folder at the end of the previous everything else is toys. IMHO
Going to the next folder is a frequent wish of high-end device owners. I’m writing about the modest playback functionality inside the folder, it is much easier to implement and is much more common.
I do not mind eating cakes, but a piece of stale bread is quite enough in conditions of hunger.

I would say in 3.5mm, the clarity is better than SPKM.

I think the most logical direct competition with the DTR1 is the QA361. From my memory, the clarity may be similar on both but the sound of QA361 was a little bit dry which I do not like at all.

Totally agree on this One.

Btw had the chance to use the Prelude for a while, very interesting and punchy, the only grime for me is how It manages DSD files.

100% recommended apart from that, It packs a punch and detail in a small footprint.

Fast UI and light/portable.

I don't know its a bug or not. After it was full charge, i couldn't turn it on. I held the power button for long time but couldn't get it on. It just could turn on when i hit reset button. It only happened when it got full charge.

Greetings.
Would someone post a photo of what album art display looks like (or refer to thread page of such)? I mean just when song is playing. I expect this player has no album art scroll page. Thanks

If album art is embedded, it should display it.

Could somebody do a short comparison between the dethonray and mojo, please? I want to know which one has a harder but not more bass, more details and a wider and deeper stage. I can't find something about this both.
You use the mojo with no eq and with which iem/headphone ?

I bought a oBravo cupid and wan't to upgrade my source. I have a onkyo dp-s1, which i would use with the mojo. Or i would buy a dethonray, when it has a bigger stage and more details.

I have used both, but It Is a very hard call to me.. Mojo sounds a bit darker imho, DTR1 Is more airy and "open" (?), Detail retrieval Is almost on par, maybe a tad more present on Mojo, soundstage again to me Is more Wide on DTR1, but again you Need a good pair of headphones to really get differences of this kind, imho.

Having said this, Mojo Is Always something to be stacked with, DTR1 Is about same size but you basically won't Need anything else.

DTR1 idea, to me, Is to concentrate on SQ and driving power, getting Song from an SD, and move around with light and small setup.
