ive seen the recent reviews on their quality and service, but i think ill just get mine from headroom whenever they get back in stock there so theres less of a chance of problems. i havent seen anything about people disliking the comfort or sound tho

according to another head-fi'er,  here is headroom's policy with regards to Jmoney pads

That's too bad, I wouldn't want to pay $70 for pads that looked like the ones in the thread you linked.  I've been saving up for them, too, pretty excited.  Now, though, I think I'll be cautious and wait

Just added some D7000 cups to my D2000s. The cups have dynamat in them also. I definitely love the improvement. They removed some sibilance and warmed them up. Theres more focus on the mids. The bass is punchier now I would compare the difference between the two cups to a sealed subwoofer vs a ported subwoofer where the D7000 cups are the sealed subs.

Secondhand from someone here on headfi. Not too difficult just involved cutting off some posts on my D2000 since the wood cups mount differently. This is permanent and I will never be able to put my plastic cups back on but after hearing the difference I dont really care. My ears were always sensitive to harsh vocals. But these are warm without being dark. Now if I could find someone willing to give away their J$ pads. Btw I listen to mostly progressive house and hip hop. The drums in the beginning of Kanye West - Goodmorning sound so tight/precise now, love it!

Picked up a pair of AH-D5000 for work.  I am pleasantly surprised.  They are very comfortable, light, and sound excellent for the money.  I picked them up new for 499.00 on amazon.  The mids are very well structured, precise, well balanced with the mid bass and bass.  The highs are a little bright but not ultrasone bright, closer to the beyers I own.  The bass is at a very appropriate level for me, its full bodied, and doesn't over power the mids.  Nice set of headphones overall.  The imaging is great for a pair of closed cans.  The stock cable is excellent build quality along with the rest of the headphones.
