I just bought a pair of Denon D5000 from eBay for 600 used like new, according to the seller they were used for only about 10 hours but I'm just so regretful, I bought them on impulse and I think I paid too much for them. Now I'm reading about all the problems with the cups detaching because of the screws and I just feel worse lol

The issue with detaching is very minimal and easily repaired. The cost of most D5000's used is around $500 so you may have overpaid a little but don't sweat it. You have an amazing headphone that's probably well worth the $.

Hello I'm new to here.Just modded my denon d2000 with silver plated occ wire,4 wires per channel, 8 wires total. the bass impact had gone, even sub bass had became lesser, which i don't like. but the treble is extremely clear and nice, the instruments and its position are extremely clear, nothing can hide from my ears.
I'm running Purepiper DAC-A1 with XMOS Usb to SPDIF card, and a felix filter, with a lot of mods, directly from dac without any amping
anyway the latest version of felix filter
using the same wire for my headphone
heres some worklog of changing the cable
removed copper shielding because its too heavy, extremely heavy, heavier than whole cable including furutech plug
8 wires total
not very flexible though since its wire, teflon wire, and only single core in each wire.
willing to hear any kind of suggestions
sorry for my English. Not very interested in wooden-cup-provided sound but would really like to try out some thick pads

Thanks, I was starting to have buyer's remorse lol, and I can't tell my family how much I paid for these amazing headphones... they just wouldn't understand. Anyway I'm really excited to compare them to my D600.
I baby all my gear, not only headphones. I'll be very careful with them

I've always been curious about the DX000 headphones. After getting a pair of DT990s and liking them quite a bit but was underwhelmed by the bass (the way some people talk about them really makes me wonder) I found a pair of D2000s. I hope the bass isn't all hype like the Beyers.
Bought my D7000's for $850 on here. was right after they were discontinued. Has the MarkL mods and angle pads at least. I know I'd take a hit if I ever try and sell them, but I can rationalize the depreciation.

They are not hype. I've had both a DT770 32ohm LE and a Darth Beyer based off the 80ohm DT770 and have had all the Denons. No contest. I'll stay with Denons.
just checked very wire's connections and i found two problems :
the furutech plug, i didn't pull out the head completely so the sound very weird because didn't connect correctly in the female plug
the dac's latest driver problem, just tried phone usb out and no such problem
anyway, the silver cables sounds like flying, opposite to sub woofers
I've yet to try a Silver cable... Think I might stick with Copper till I can go modular with my headphones. Once modular I can start trying all sorts of different cables

Just got them in the mail and the bass is great. Just what I was looking for. I wouldn't say they replace my DT990 but they make for a nice compliment. They may however replace my K550s. I'm impressed by the openess and the detail in the D2000s. Some describe them as a little veiled but I'm not hearing that at all, they have just as much detail as the K550 with more bass too.
