TH900
Why's that? Also, have you compared them in terms of gaming? Thanks!
TH900
Only music , both are great , both are source dependent , TH900 a little bit more dynamic , bass cannon. Why's that? Also, have you compared them in terms of gaming? Thanks!

Both are "audiophile" bass but the TH900 likes to hit the sub bass more often and when I EQ it will be crazy bass. When not EQd Steely Dan will shake my skull. Is there a major difference in the bass between the TH900 and 9200? For example, is the TH900 skull vibrating while the 9200 is punchy? I'm not a huge basshead, although I appreciate good bass that doesn't get distorted or muddy up the mid range.

No , it keeps the sub bass away from the mids and treble away from the mids.Wow, that's definitely a lot of bass, lol. Does it distort and muddy up the midrange? Would you consider yourself a hardcore basshead?

Im using my 6 pairs of TH900s on the go for four years. No issues.Ok, I think I'll experiment between the TH900 and the 9200. I found a TH900 Mk2 with stock cable and pads used "B-Stock" on reverb.com for $1100. Is this reasonable for a used TH900? Or should I buy a brand new one just in case?

In 2020 the big reviewers are agreeing that cables will affect the sound. How much ? Ill say 5 to 10% better or can be worse. Where I live Im able to demo twenty cables at a time. I has same headphones with different cables and heard a difference. I bought like 13 TH900s , sold 7 and keeping 6. I tried various cables with the TH900. I found I prefer the stock cable and Lawton Audio cables.Nice! Lol. Just out of curiosity:
1) Do you use stock cables with your TH900's? Or custom cables? I can't seem to wrap my head around how cables could possibly affect a headphone's sound signature, because it's just simple physics...and I don't think a $1000+ headphone would come with crappy cables to begin with.
2) Why 6 of them? haha
I guess buying used could be good now that I think about it since they would already be burned in.

I had two Lawton TH900s , they are nice , but I wouldnt take them out on the go. Lawton option wood cups is harder wood so sound of bass is tighter. Mids more up front. A little less fun and more serious listening. Are the Lawton mods worth it? Or stock configuration is just fine?
