Just got some D7k's for Christmas for ME!!! I love them. Ipod> Fii0 E17> E12......Sounds GRRRRREATE! I really like how musical they sound. Not harsh up top But so smooth, bass is nice but oh Sub bass is there without being to much. I dont know how much better thay can sound with another Amp? Big Thanks to all u headphiers out there. Your comments are how i ended up with these in 1st place. Cannot get to meets here in SC. Thanks...

Trust me, on a vintage amp they sound glorious. If you like them on a portable amp..........you'll love them on a full size.

Even stock they are great. Very few do not like the D7000.

i have little doubt that i'd like them...i was a big fan of the w5000/yamamoto when i had that combo...i've just been itching to pick up a pair of planar headphones so not really sure why i'd buy the d7000s. then gain, nothing about my headphone transaction history makes sense...

I have a pair of Carver amps. Ran speaker taps to the D7k's but the noise Floor to high when nothing is playing. Scrap that idea. Lots of POWER but not quiet.
Now search is on for dedicated headphone amp.

finally rotated to the d7000 again, and what a treat this can is...one of the all time greats...imho.

Feel the same way. Rotate between three or four on a regular basis and always am thrilled when the D7000 is up. Such clean bass and overall good sound. Never selling it.

just got a pair...and my first impression? they leak a lot of sound. woke my wife up...she's not too happy with me. more impressions tomorrow after i spend some time with them sans the mrs.
