I2S is not available on Ares II. As to Pontus vs Ares, USB or otherwise, I have both models and can say without hesitation that the Pontus is way more dynamic and organic sounding.
Thank you very much for your Pontus II impressions, I'm interested in this DAC to pair with a Flux lab AMP.

Guys,

Please be informed that the denafrips.eu is operated by Vinshine Audio's partner KVS Audio (Bulgaria).
It's not 'denafrips @ eu' per se.

Our partners in the who handles the assigned & designated country.

If you reside in other countries, please purchase from us directly.

Hope this clarifies.

Apologies, this is not entirely clear. You mean if someone is outside Bulgaria should not use denafrips.eu?

Also curious if they will bring back their EU shipping option with VAT prepaid. It is difficult for us to buy any major item from outside the EU because of taxes, fees, charges, ransom etc.

I think You have an VAT included option on this webpage. And yes, importing into EU may be painful...

The question is valid: which webpage to use if You are in the EU but outside Bulgaria. @alvin1118 could You respond?

Ah you are right. But the VAT option used to be available for the ARES II and it is not anymore.

Sure, if we have turnkey pricing ahead of time and one-click shopping it is best to order directly. But if you live in a country where importing things from outside the EU is expensive and complicated, then you will need to consider other possibilities.
