@SlothRock, I saw you listened to "In flames - Colony" with the E3 at "Pic of your headphones" thread. How do you like the E3 with different metal genres? I have seen in the forum that people don't find the Stealth suitable for metal and I don't know about the E3.

E3 is a great all rounder but if you listen to mostly metal, there are probably better and cheaper options.

Agreed. I’ve only had two planars (susvara and E3) and if you mostly listen to metal I just think dynamic headphones are probably the best choice for that genre.E3 does a great job for metal, but dynamic I’ve still found to be best

I can't think of a better metal headphone. Having gone through the entire focal / Sennheiser/ zmf lineup. It's the only one that is actually tonally correct and consistent.

Of all the headphones I've owned and listened to (from Stax to Sennheiser, Focal, ZMF, HiFiMan, Audeze, etc), this would be my choice for metal as well as all other genres. But this will of course vary per person.

I’d rather say good engineering and build quality, adherence to a target curve that satisfies the majority of users with a not obscene price tag is the best salesperson

It certainly doesn't hurt, but I think the demand is coming from all over... we've also had great traction in Europe and a really solid review from Fidelio in Germany... E3 also won best headphone from the Headphones.com reviewers.
