We have to realise that the high end DAPS are using DAC chips that are designed to be used in desktop devices, they are designed to be powered by non-battery means. We are now seen more DAC chips that are designed for portable usage, hence less power usage.

Sadly 10 hours of power is not bad at all I am saying sadly because that is the common standard. I am okay with it as long as it sounds good.

Yes,unfortunately good or hopefully more than just good sound eats all the energy it can get..so 8 or10h is no different to dx90 or any other totl dap with the exception of course being able to change it on the Ibasso

I was tempted myself... I just don't want to be an early adaptor with many issues. Looks very promising though... for me it's between this and the Calyx. I'm leaning towards the Calyx, it seems to have the sound signature that I prefer.

not a fan of the Calyx size and very wqrm sig...901 is plenty warm enough.

Size definitely worries me, but I prefer warm signature. I'd love to get the 901 based on everything I've read, but the unit is just not appealing to me aesthetically... and buggy ui

Hi, just wondering if u meant the HM-901 has primitive UI features...i do not encounter "bugs" on my daily usage with FLAC and WAV files.
