Would the BA2's be a significant upgrade over a Vsonic GR06?  I'd like to get customs but since the BA2 costs a lot more than the $70 GR06 - which already sounds pretty awesome - I don't want to pull the trigger unless I would hear a significant improvement in sound.  My source would be a Zune 120.

Thanks!

Sometimes it's about the type of sound you prefer. I don't think the newer iPods dac's are worse, they just sound different than the old Wolfson dac's that were used in the older 4th gen iPod and 5th gen iPod video. Those two iPods have a warmer sound than newer models which some people prefer.

I haven't heard any of them, but I'd say so yeah! What kind of sound signature do you like? If you like a lot of bass, it's probably better to wait for the BA3.

The HY3 and BA3 are a definite upgrade to the GR07, so the BA2 would probably be an upgrade to the GR06.

I was simply curious to know how competant of a DAP my LG Optimus G. I intend to up to a Cowon J3 eventually unless you all may have better suggestions for a DAP +/- $300 that supports FLAC?

FiiO X3, iBasso DX50. Both support 24/192 in pretty much all formats including flac, wav etc. Both have 8 gb in built capacity + micro sd card support. X3 is 200 dollars, DX50 is about to be released (in a few weeks) it will be around 230 270 dollars.
