So my Flex Micro is here..... sort of. My lazy postal carrier, rather than get out of their car and knock on my door, simply put a notice in my mailbox. I was home so I could have signed for the package, but now I have to go pick it up in person. The worst part is that the place it was routed to has ridiculous, almost impossible hours of operation. Like you can only pick up a package from 9:45am to 11:15am on Tuesdays and Fridays. Or something like that. I'm exaggerating, but only slightly.

Damn, that bugs the hell out of me.
I've been standing inside my door, ( having heard the mailman in my stairwell ) waiting for the knock on the door, only to witness the 'we tried to deliver' card appear through the slot before my very eyes instead.
Man he got a shock when I opened the door before he even turned away from it!.
I guess sometimes they're just in too much of a hurry to even attempt delivery.
As a result I just get EVERYTHING delivered to my work address .

Is the kit from CE a particularly good one, or would a Boots kit be a suitable substitute?

I didn't use the Cosmic Ears kit (I have my own) but from the video, it looks rather nice. I've used a few others and some are kind of cheap. The syringe they provide has little grips on the sides - some of the other brands don't and it makes it difficult.

Can it really be that much of a delay? Knock or ring the doorbell, wait 15 seconds, then move on. No big deal. Oh well.

Anyway, I'll be able to hopefully pick them up tomorrow and will post my thoughts later in the day.

Ugh, tell me about it. Where I used to live there was a fee when you went and picked it up instead of receiving it at home, talk about a joke.

Anyways, that's good news, I'm sure we're all very curious as to how it sounds, I'm particularly curious about the smaller shell, as I haven't read about anything of the sort before.

I would have filed an official complaint.

I really have to praise CE for their excellent customer service once again, and yesterday, Phil impressed me even more!

I placed my order late in the evening on Sep 19:th. The kit arrived 1.5 days later and after I shipped my impressions (after confirming their quality with Phil via e-mail) CE recieved them 2 work days later. Yesterday, October 2:nd (just 13 days after I placed my order) I recieved this mail:

Hi

Good news, your monitors are finished, the bad news is they have missed the post today, we will get them in the post first thing tomorrow.

Here are some spins of your monitors, if you need any others let us know ASAP and we can take some before we pack them up.

I'm going to order a kit but still need one for my 4.A's. Specsavers quoted me £50 boots wants £100 and I went to hidden hearing to have two sets done neither are good enough, I'm going back today for a refund.

*Drool* looking very good, after every post in this thread I edge a little closer to buying some immediately. I think it's currently at the "which month's paycheck will I use to buy these?" stage ^_^

Looking forwards to hearing impressions of the twin and dual BAs

Hey there :) I'm new to audio and don't really know much about it but I'm considering buying a pair of these as they sound really good! I'm not an audiophile but would like really good sound that dosen't leak. Which driver should I get though I'm really confused and don't know which is best or if I'll notice a difference. Dynamic, single balanced armature or twin balanced armature? thanks :) btw how is the sound leakage on these?
