Do they disappear in the ear? Can you sleep in them?

As far as the GR07 goes, it pretty much "disappears" in the ear.  That is, I often have a hard time feeling it's there, but it's always apparent to me.  I don't think I'd be able to sleep in it though, it sticks out just a little too far...and sometimes the sound cuts out when it gets pressed further into my ear (eartip seems to seal off or something).

Never tried sleeping in it though, so I dunno.

I've slept with it in my ears; although I don't usually like having things in my ear when I sleep, they're the most comfortable amongst all the IEMs I've tried and come closest to 'disappearing' in my ears. Their comfort level really is great; it's amongst the best that I've tried, like the SE535 or the EX1000. Both of these IEMs are heavier and stick out more, so even though they're more contoured and seem more ergonomic, they produce more torquing forces on your ear canal.

Could you compare them to the EX1000.

I also have slept with these in ear and they are the most comfortable IEM I have used in that fashion by a HUGE margin.

I guess im going to have to go with the Gr07 since I need an IEM that is very strong and durable. I dont want another Iem breaking after 6 months or so. Im hoping this will last 1-2 years max.

I don't have time to find my post but I gave a link to one of the eBay reseller I used that I had good success with. LMEU is the best choice in that they are a known good reseller buy these from but I had good results with this other company.

Can these be worn hanging down or are they designed for over the ear-ness? I'm not much of a fan of the latter, but that's mostly due to never having tried it.

Thanks, dudebros.

I've found that the GR07 can be worn down if you reverse the channels.  They work fine like that, but personally I don't like swapping channels.  They're fine over-the-ear though, I've never had any problems with them like that.  They do come with nice ear guides after all.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll have to pop my over-the-ear cherry, then!

Also, does anyone have the silver GR07s? I don't know if I like them, which is unfortunate, as I can get them shipped express for around $150 USD off of ebay.

Silver GR07?  I never even knew they had those.  That'd be interesting...but I kind of like the black one since there's no paint that can be rubbed off.

The black ones are definitely a lot nicer. And that's a good point about the paint; I've basically rubbed the gold off of my DDMs, which doesn't look half bad actually. Ha. I thought the GR07s were kinda hideous the first time I laid eyes upon them, but revisiting them, there's a striking and understated charm about them...

... And I kinda need to have them now. They sure are hard to come by, though. Have there been any reports of fakes at all?
