KIROSIA - DONT FREEZE BEANS!!!!! Just put them in a sealed container away from air and moisture!!! Freezing coffee beans is sacralidge about as bad as Bose headphones on a Woo2 or B52 amp!!!
The horror!!!!

Actually, I read on a reputable coffee website that if done properly, freezing beans can have little to no effect on perceivable taste. They did a in-depth experiment and everything.

EDIT: http://www.home-barista.com/store-co...n-freezer.html

EDIT: Coffee: To Freeze or Not to Freeze • Home-Barista.com

The real problem that can occur with freezing coffee beans is condensation. The moisture on the bean will ruin it. When I freeze coffee, I weigh out the coffee dose I need, place it in a snack size zipper back, and put the bags in Mason jars. That way, I can remove just the amount of coffee I need without exposing the rest of the coffee. I find it keeps up to three months this way. Past that, you can tell it's going stale.

Yeah, I'd separate them into weekly amounts and stuff them in zipper bags.

Wow never heard you can freeze it safely.
I would just get one of those things that vaccume seal it and it sucks the air out of a bag.

I tried some of it with some vanilla though. I have a litre bottle of Starbucks sugarfree vanilla syrup, and it tastes ok with it in there, so ill use it up that way, or when non-picky people come over.
lol

I got some Christmas coffee here still, and another friend of mine sent me some coffee for Christmas, so ill live...lol.
But i wanted to try that Kona. I hope it goes on sale again soon, because really i wouldnt normally spend that much for coffee.
Peets is as high as i go really, but Peets tastes great.
I may join their auto-delivery club thing.

Wow...had I known I never would have left...oh wait -50 on a good day in the winter...that is why I left!

Hey it's about +7C today!

First vacuum brewer was actually a 10 cup from "Starcraps". They were clearing them out and I got the 10 cupper for about $60 or so about 8 years ago. The 5 cup one I have is a Bodom (so is the 10 cup one as well) which I bought from Home Outfitters for about $120. So not quite the deal of the 10 cup model

One of the first priorities when I got here was to find a place to buy green. Edmonton Tea & Coffee is a local roaster and one of the guys that owns it sells me green and he usually has the Kauai Estate Reserve in stock. Priorities and persistence paid off

As long as it doesnt get weighed with the beans so you get some free protein.

Yet another reason to home-roast!

"Signs"

V1
And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply
So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said you look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do
So I took off my hat I said imagine that, huh, me working for you
woah!

Chorus:

Sign Sign everywhere a sign
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign

V2
And the sign said anybody caught trespassing would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and yelled at the house, Hey! what gives you the right
To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in
If God was here, he'd tell you to your face, man you're some kinda sinner

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:

Now, hey you Mister! can't you read, you got to have a shirt and tie to get a seat
You can't even watch, no you can't eat, you ain't suppose to be here
Sign said you got to have a membership card to get inside Uh!

V3
And the sign said everybody welcome, come in, kneel down and pray
But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all,
I didn't have a penny to pay, so I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said thank you Lord for thinking about me, I'm alive and doing fine

Repeat Chorus
Repeat Chorus
