Classical music discussion, what do you like?

The weinbergers on Motette vs Felix Friedrich & Co. on Querstand, hmm I love both, probably keeping both editions of Krebs organ works

Both seem to use historical organs, the kudos go to the Felix Friedrich one-

The felix friedrich has more than just the organ works, incl. the double concerto for two harpsichord (arranged fro harpsichord and organ) some sonatas.

The sound of the Weinbergers may be more expansive and reverberous , but I also seem to like the more intimate but more holographic sound of the Felix friedrich set

Wonderful channel, the uploader is a masterful restorer!

I am shocked that I wasn't aware of Bunin's mastery previously. This is the slowest performance I know, more a fantaisie than a polonaise in all honesty, but such a heart wrenching rendition regardless.

I hope you are all doing well!

Yes, he's a fine player.
I attended one of his master class. He also played Barrios' Julia Florida for us. He mentioned it reminded him of a string quartet. Great playing.

Can someone recommend a good recording of the Brahms Violin Concert in D? I was listening to it on the radio and would like to add it to my music collection.

I've been listening to this one often. I like the playing of Batiashvili and Staatskapelle Dresden. I'd be curious to hear other recommendations from someone more knowledgeable in Brahms. Perhaps Heifetz, Mutter or Hahn?
