Edit: My Fiio E17 DAC installed through plug and play in seconds, LOL. So much for paying $700 for a DAC. I've got a $700 paperweight now.

Hardly seems fair to 'blame' Mojo, even indirectly, for something you already know is a Windows issue

I was using Mojo on my Windows 10 PC using USB when it stopped working after a Windows update.

Blame Microsoft for their draconian 'forced-updates' policy in Windows 10. Ever considered why Microsoft have made Win10 so disgustingly draconian; what their dubious motives might be, to forcibly prevent their customers from having a choice in whether they update their own computer systems, or not? Food for thought...

Happy Mojo owner here..was pairing it with my iphone.

Recently bought a Fiio X3 ii so that i could stack. Ordered a coax cable from Custom Cable UK but while the mojo is playing music, it is constantly showing red, even though none of my files are mp3 or anything less than 24hz FLACs (i know as this was working perfectly with the iphone CCK combo)..

Is there something I'm missing. Such a downer to see the red colour for the high resolution collection.. :(

Any thing that im doing wrong? Is the cable wrong (it shouldnt be else it wouldnt output at all.right?)

All help welcome...

Problem solved. I was thrown off by onkyo's upsampling on the iPhone.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

I ran the battery down a bit more and recharged it - the white charging light stayed on for some time (30-40 minutes) and then went back into the alternating 17 second on/12 seconds off routine, instead of going completely off.  It just does that indefinitely...

The only reason I noticed this is because it's sitting on my desk next to me and the physical enclosure emanates a very faint high pitched noise when the charging light is on and doesn't when it's off, so the on/off/on/off making that high pitched noise distracted me.

I'm going to use mine a bit more and see if the behavior changes, but it seems mine might be defective.

Have a look at post #3, in particular the section on batteries and charging. http://www.head-fi.org/t/784602/chord-mojo-the-official-thread-please-read-the-3rd-post

A few ideas from that section:

If you are hearing a noise, it may be due to ripple voltage from your power line.
Also the continual on/off sequence of the lights, can be a symptom of the power line supplying less than the minimum 1A - the charging circuit switches on then tests the current supply, and if the current is too low the charging circuit switches off. Then a few seconds later the charging circuit switches on again, then tests the current supply, then switches off again because it is too low. This on/off cycle will continue ad infinitum, until a more powerful charger is used.

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions, everyone. To circle back on my issue, the simple answer was that the unit was defective. I tried all kinds of different chargers and cables and nothing made a difference. I swapped it for a new one from the dealer and the issue no longer persists.

While playing a song to my x3ii... Using coaxial crystal cable that i bought, the song just suddenly starts pausing then stops fully.

Weird. Then i saw that theres no more light on the power button when it should supposed to be 3 led lights.

I tried restarting my mojo but now it only shows 2 lights on the volume and theres no more sound in my iem. :(

Pls help!

UPDATE!!!

The problem lies in the CRYSTAL cable.
Its a little loose on the jack part, so its not the mojo that has a problem.

It has no light because it tells me that theres no indication of connection from my coax crystal cable.

Egghead (philippines) has been very helpful, specially to the owner RICO CHENG :)

I think I have a faulty unit. For no reason it keeps turning off, all within 3-5 seconds. If I can get it locked onto a data stream, sometimes its fine, however i'm not very happy with it. It was a gift to myself but mainly so me and my partner can listen while traveling.

Has anyone else had this issue? I suppose the first port of call after this post is Chord.

I used it a few weeks ago with my iPhone on the go and it was fine.

Strange but I'm convinced it isn't working as it should.

You have faulty unit. Return it.

Hi people.  I'm finding it hard to find a solution/answer after searching but has anyone had the issue of the Mojo's charging light not going off?  It's been charging for about 9 hours now and the light is still lit.  The charging time has been getting progressively longer, despite using the same choice of 2 chargers, both of which are Samsung fast chargers for my Note 4 and Tab S, so they have enough juice to charge the Mojo.  Can anyone help?  Is my battery dying?  I've only had the unit about 6 weeks

Although I can't rule-out a possible fault with your Mojo, you might consider the following interesting remark, someone posted in the main thread:

  Quick question....

When Mojo is fully charged the led should turn off, right?

it's been 5h and still on, not blinking though.
I'm using 2A charger.

With regards to the newer wall chargers from major phone brands, I've noticed majority will drop to trickle charge when they "sense" that the battery is reaching full charge.
Usually you will notice most mobiles will charge quite quickly up to about 80-90% and then take like forever to top off the rest. I'm guessing this is the reason why some users are reporting slightly longer charge times.

This is of course my own opinion and experience.

Thank you very much for this info.  What do people recommend as a tried and tested charger for the Mojo?

....  What do people recommend as a tried and tested charger for the Mojo?

Judging by what I tend to see in the main Mojo thread, a lot of people seem to be using a standard genuine-Apple iPad charger, with success.

Please understand that I'm not saying your issue is definitely charger-related. We're just trouble-shooting, at this stage, so I wouldn't want you to shell-out on anything expensive, charger-wise. A standard genuine-Apple charger shouldn't cost you much, though

I should also mention that some charging leads have a relatively high resistance, and, although it may sound a little crazy, it is worth trying a different one, just to narrow down possible influences on your charging issue.

I also took the liberty of asking Rob Watts for some input, and here is what he said:

Of course, if you are charging whilst on it will take very much longer to charge, and the charger timer might get triggered then you get the flashing white battery LED. The charger timer circuit is only on during full charge mode. So if it's fully charged, and then you plug in the charger and turn it on, then the white charger light will stay on permanently as the trickle charge is being balanced by the current Mojo is drawing (no net current into or out of the battery).

Hope that explains!

Rob
