I have no need to carry it around until the 2go comes out. TEHO, but I for one, don't like stacking portable.Up
No one ? How do you carry your Hugo 2 when you travel ?

I think a lot of us are not that interested in the 2Go and don't want to read about it this much in the Hugo2 thread. Especially as it is just speculation. That was all my point.Yes, diluted with other topics, so it doesn't subvert the thread. Start a 2go thread, and if it doesn't come to pass, you may end up with a soured and angry thread like the GeekWave one.
I think a lot other of us are interested in the 2go, and will not rest until it's doing its job, replacing the need to stack DAPs and DACs in a somewhat cumbersome sholder bag, or manpurse if you will. I'm not interested in multiK streamers that I can't use, nor in the ubiquitous pollution of Ruin (I mean Roon) permiating every single thread, article and review I read. But, neither do I begrudge the right of people to discuss them here, right here! Go 2 it.I think a lot of us are not that interested in the 2Go and don't want to read about it this much in the Hugo2 thread. Especially as it is just speculation. That was all my point.
I am not arguing with you. I know very well all threads are much broader than the title would suggest. However the extra content is usually about facts and personal impressions of other gear and not less meaningful speculation through pages and pages.I think a lot other of us are interested in the 2go, and will not rest until it's doing its job, replacing the need to stack DAPs and DACs in a somewhat cumbersome sholder bag, or manpurse if you will. Did someone try the Fiio L27 cable to connect a Sony WM1Z to Hugo 2 ?
On the Fiio site, they show a chart saying "the new version is not compatible with mojo", but they don't list the Hugo 2.
Otherwise, isn't 6 cm length a bit short as they don't have the same size ?
I have a ZX300 the Fiio cable won't work with it and my Mojo or Hugo2. The only DAC I have that it does work with is the Oppo HA-2SE.
Thank you

So If I understand correctly, this will lead to the battery charge cycle between ~80% (magenta state) and 100% every time H2 is turned on/off?Power from the charger is bypassing the battery in desktop mode however there is some residual small net discharge on the battery during use so when you turn hugo2 off and while it is permanently connected to the charger it will recharge again till full then turn off. Next time you use H2 you have a unit ready for mobile use fully charged up or continue in desktop mode with charger always attached and repeat the cycle. Simple. Magenta indicates desktop mode and i can't see any reason to keep H2 on 24/7.
Depending on how full the battery is when you started playing will determine how long h2 charges for once you switch off after playing. In this case h2 is always in desktop mode ie connected to mains. It charges when you turn it off not when you turn it on to keep things simple here.

You are not the first some have looked before with all kinds of elaborate solutions and even travelling "kits".
Heck, I even posted a hardware case concept to protect the H2 while also being airy enough to prevent overheating. The idea of traveling with the H2 in a well protected manner has been going on for a while. Lots of different ideas and solutions have been posted.
VanNuys from Japan even sells cases within cases specifically for the Chord H2 (and other specialty cases as well)

I am also waiting for the 2Go, and i’m sure VanNuys will come out with a dedicated case for the h2/2Go, which is the only reason I haven’t bought a case yet. Now that I have the Stellia, the h2/2Go Stellia combo will be my transportable for business travel. Like @UELong i am not a fan of stacking. I do it now but would rather not.

Yes that's what I meant: assuming h2 is always connected to the wall charger, when h2 is turned on and playing, the battery will discharge from 100% to ~80%; and then when h2 is turned off, the battery will be charged to 100%. Is that right? So only in terms of battery life, it is still "worse" than leave H2 on 24/7, where the battery keeps at about 80% constantly? Sorry about the annoyance. I'm just curiousDepending on how full the battery is when you started playing will determine how long h2 charges for once you switch off after playing. In this case h2 is always in desktop mode ie connected to mains. It charges when you turn it off not when you turn it on to keep things simple here.

Unfortunately, it's only soft case...
True, it is a soft case, but it's still designed for case-within-a-case and has room for the H2 + a DAP, with a specifically designed hole on the bottom for cable management when connecting the DAP to the H2 via USB, or for charging. It also has a variety accessories for carrying the setup in a number of different ways.
Not a hard case that you requested, and not right for me either, but if you don't find anything else, this case-within-a-case option might be worth noting as a backup option.
Just to make sure we're talking about the same one, this is the actual carrying case link I was originally referring to. I think I previously sent you the overall H2 related products link earlier, which was unintentional
