Picked up yesterday, applied all the software updates without any problems, checked connectivity with the fabulous Glider (please can I go on the beta list?) and going to have a proper play later on

We were able to finish up the latest beta quicker then expected, so Glider 1.8 is now available in the App Store. We're now working on version 1.9, which will allow you to create and edit playlists right in the app. We don't have a working beta just yet, but send me a PM if you're interested and I'll get you set up as soon as we have something to test.

I would like to thanks Glider for the hard works you guys did making my music more enjoyable.
Glider was working well with poly in 1.7 however I missed the ability to create play queue on the go so I had to use AK.
That is over now with 1.8.

I thought Poly SD playback was always a “straight path” from card to Mojo using those apps (glider, MPDluxe, 8player, etc) just as a remote to control Poly SD playback and getting this way always a bit perfect playback stream from the SD card tothe Mojo, but I have seen that every app has a working volume control that affects the the playback volume (except when using DSD files) so I assume the apps are actively processing the data stream. I always thought that using Poly We’d always get a straight and bit perfect path from SD to Mojo but now I’m a bit puzzled. @Matt Bartlett @Mojo ideas or someone can shed some light about this?

Thanks!

Fwiw no volume control in M.A.L.P. I think it's a configuration of the MPD server on the Poly, but not all clients implement its usage. If implemented I'd assume that max volume would equal bit perfect.

Poly uses MPD, so this has nothing to do with specific apps. MPD docs say: "By default, MPD attempts to do bit-perfect playback, unless you tell it not to... Don't use software volume" (https://www.musicpd.org/doc/user/advanced_usage.html)

I'm also a bit confused how MojoPoMo manages to get "stutters" on playback when it's playing directly from the SD card - I'd have thought there would be no network or streaming issues when there is a 'direct path' from the on-board files.

Anyone care to hazard a guess how it might manage to do this?

It streams the file and that’s the reason you can’t use the SD card in Bluetooth mode

My iPhone battery life is ending and today it shot down while doing Mojopoly playback from sd card using Glider in Poly hot spot mode. And when my phone died Mojopoly continued to play song after song. So it seem when you start playing there is no data transfer required with the phone.

Hi everyone. I've had mine a month now and love it. One question though, I've checked the box to enable DSD in the webpage, but Poly won't play it, either from SD card or Wifi. I'm using Bubble UPnP on Android, which will stream DSD from my Melco to my Moon DAC, but not on Poly? Anyone else managed to stream DSD?

Thanks

You need to use MPD software to play DSD (or AIF for taht matter). Not quite that convenient and easy.
