Who knows what will happen, but if you do want a free case I would wait until for example the Christmas period when a special offer like a free case could be on offer.

So everybody should CANCEL their preorder and wait until Christmas?

These people are repeat customers (they already bought a Mojo) and had put down their money months in advance for a Poly at full price with no discount. I get it that nobody is entitled to a freebie, but as a matter of goodwill Chord can show some appreciation for these loyal customers.

No, not at all. I'm not suggesting anybody cancels a pre-order. Its up to any individual where they spend their cash.

I don't think its reasonable to expect freebies though, especially if there isn't enough product to supply demand.

I do understand that all of you guys feel frustrated . We are days away from our first limited production run now we know we have not met your expectations on timescale to production, but we know we've met them with performance and features Please try to see that we have delays due to the way worlds components markets work. However we have taken advantage of those delays to write vast amounts of high level software giving some amazing new features such as automatic feature updates via Wifi connection when connected to the internet this means that your Poly in years to come We are excited with what we have in development.

Delayed yes... But I for one am eager and look forward to seeing just how good it is when it hits the wild. Have mine preordered for months but it is what it is. Chord, know you are disappointed to delay the launch and taking some flak. But we do appreciate how you have shared the info al the way through.

I have both Hugo 2 and Poly on order.

I'd rather have them both up to Chord standards than early.

I think most Chord fans feel precisely the same way.

Our impatience speaks to our excitement and anticipation, based upon Chord's standards.

I have attended CanJam SoCal last weekend, and played with the Poly for 10 minutes at the Chord booth.
The functionality that was available and easy to test was: using an iPad to control the Poly, and basically used the app to choose songs off the microSD card that was plugged into the Poly.
Now, I am not sure if the connection was over BT or WiFi. Did not pay attention to this part. Sorry...

So, how did it work? GUI of the app was very intuitive. Response time was reasonable (seen faster, seen slower, that was definitely reasonable / acceptable).
My main concern would be how does this GUI look on a much smaller display (iPhone 6S) compared to the much larger iPad mini display.

But again, the good news - it works!  GUI is nice and intuitive (on iPad), and pretty responsive (when navigating between folders).

Curious if anyone can indicate if the following is possible:

1) Tether my laptop to my iPhone (using its LTE connection)
2) Have my phone connect to Poly for playback
3) Control my phone's local Tidal library (downloads, running in disconnected mode) through Roon, imagining it's actually talking to the Poly as well to discover it.
4) Actually do this over a wifi connection from my phone to the Poly (poly acts as a hub, correct?) while my phone is still connected to its LTE connection.

This is a real-world situation I find myself in at least once or twice a week - I'm in an area with no or poor wifi (say the beach) and an working for several hours, hence tethering to my Phone.  I'll run Tidal in disconnected mode as I don't want to eat too much data and just plug in my earphones to the phone directly.  When I have a good wifi connection I use roon on my laptop with the mojo.  Would be great if I could possibly listen to my phone's disconnected Tidal library w/ the mojo when no wifi network is present.

The Poly is not yet in production, so only users who have seen a pre-production model, can give you hands on experience.

This recent post also points out that Chord are taking advantage of the production delay, to have the software updated to add additional functionality.
So any replies you get about functionality, could be out-of-date already.

Only @Mojo ideas can give you an up-to-date answer.
I'm not trying to be unhelpful, but I don't want to give you answers that will accidently turn out to be misleading.

i really wish to know an answer to a question i asked around 3 times here, so your help can make me decide if i want to buy the poly or not

i use android i and I like to use neutron player as it has the best parametric eq among all players, can I use neutron player and its eq with the poly with the music stored in sd card inside the mojo on the go, and how is that achieved

please help me in having an answer to this

if using neutron with its eq is not possible is there any way we can play music stored on the sd card placed inside the poly with an app that has an eq at least

Wow, didn't realize it was still up in the air like that.  I actually had a poly in my hands at CanJam, but for some reason didn't give it much thought as I spent all my time w/ the Hugo 2.  Now I've decided a H2 is just too big for my needs I'm thinking poly thoughts :)

I have started to wonder if Chord are taking the opportunity of the production delay, to add some of the code/functionality being developed for the 2Go, to the Poly.

Yes, I'm sure they will be I'm a software engineer I would say for 99% of the projects I've worked on the software is always the last thing to be done, for complex projects its never fully complete either, there is always something to tweak. I'm always grateful for any extra development time I can get due to delays elsewhere.

I'm sorry I've not been able to get back to you concerning your question I've been on vacation with an odd internet connection that wouldn't let me reply even if I knew the answer. However sadly I don't know and will have to check this out with Matt and Development team next week after the
UK bank holiday
