OK my Poly has died. the unit won’t power on and no charge light whatsoever when plugged in (whether connected to Mojo or separate).
I know it is repetitive and for many, unnecessary but here goes: I trust Chord. Don't fret. It is sad but they'll help. I understand your frustration, especially with the promise of such high quality music without the trapping of the wire.

Last night, my wife Heather (who used to have her own account here) finally got Poly to connect via hotspot at a hockey game. She was thrilled.

It took 15 minutes of turning on and off, and disconnecting from Mojo, but it finally worked. We did not need the pin.

It paused on its own, a few times during songs, but it worked!

She listened to "The Ragpicker's Dream" from Mark Knopfler and gushed about the sound quality. (Knopfler's writing reveals a well read and very high intelligence man--I am so impressed)

While working on it yesterday, I spent about 30 minutes with it. I am amazed that the wireless sound quality is this high.

I trust Chord will work out the bugs and make things right and will have a dynamic product on its hands for us. Glider has been terrific.

Supervisor, contact them. It will work out.

When the Gofigure app is released shortly every one can loose their configuration pins as they won’t be needed. I always hated that damned pin!
The time line for the App is We expect the release to us at Chord is later this coming week along with a further operating system up date We will select a few of you people and a few others for final sign off beta if nothing untoward shows will will release very shortly after. Further information will be forth coming.

thanks for the update, John.

It is always good to hear from you.

John, I will not ask you about the portable module 2go poly like device for Hugo 2.
I promise.
I solemnly promise.
I swear I won't.

...

While I'm most excited for the long overdue GoFigure app to become available something tells me we should not get rid of the config pin just yet. I'm sure there will be more learning pains to deal with once the app comes in to play. Call me cynical but so far the Poly just has not been a fun experience for many here. I hope you are right, John.

Here are the pictures of the open-case Poly. There are not many things that could come loose, under 'normal' circumstances.

Thanks.
I think you're spot on. Whatever is moving is substantial and only knocks the case in 3 directions. Your picture with the plastic battery connectors would explain why one side comes to a soft stop.
I think I will talk to Chord as I have a suspicion my Mojo may be one of the units that needs that component replacing to trigger Polys on switch.

Thanks for the help guys.

The need to turn Mojo/poly on and off several times and sometimes disconnect it from Mojo... might this be something an update will address?

hardware update--JF has stated they will be issuing replacements for those units experiencing this issue with an updated model which will play nice with older Mojos when powering on.

Thank you.

Sometimes, though rare, it will connect immediately. Most times it is about 15 min.

Sometimes poly status light will not go off, and yesterday, it actually blinked three colors. I have switched mojos too.

When the dust settles, I think fans will be happy.

I'm waiting patiently and done fussing with Poly until replacements come as indicated.

However, to comment on your post, that is one of my favorite albums by my favorite artist/guitarist. I can listen to Knopfler all day; just not on my MojoPoly as yet.

My wife and I were talking about how we somehow missed his solo career until a few years ago. I thought Dire Straits was good, but had not heard the solo work. This may sound unusual, but he appears to be greatly improving with age. As he approaches 70, his writing has tremendous depth to it, and the wisdom of years.

I've also noticed that even in some of the more pop or comical songs, I have yet to find one where he "phoned it in." The comical song about shoes? The instrumentation is beautiful. His writing has gotten deeper, his voice is rich and convincing... I love the hi res files on H2 with Beyerdyamic T1s, but I also find myself going to his music with Mojo on the go with the Beyer T8's. As my wife loves his music, I just plug into her Poly when we're out . It was quite clever of John to originally come up with the idea of sharing Mojo.

I hope you get to hear the Poly soon. Some people are writing as if Poly improves the sound and I think I understand why: the expectation for wireless may do it. It really sounds fantastic.

I agree. I don't argue with people who is the "best guitarists" of all time as it is fruitless. I can say, IMHO, who is the most enjoyable to me and the combination of his music and guitar playing, to me has no equal. I was hooked from the first Dire Straits album and am a huge Knopfler fan. PLUS he gives a damn about the quality of his recordings. My main system is the MSB Select II which just nails redbook and some of the best redbook recordings ever, again, IMHO are his.

no drops or any other traumatic events to speak of. went to bed listening to Poly Friday night (to Gregg Kowalksy's "L'Orange L'Orange"), and Saturday morning I was making funeral arrangements. I don't know what I'm too look for re: battery connection (am I to unscrew this thing? I'm a lawyer; not good with my hands), however, my model is one of the ones that needs replacing anyway, as it previously had the power-on problem.

I've already written Chord through the proper channels to see what they suggest--I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot here on a Sunday.
Then don't bother to open it up! This voids the guarantee also.
