Certainly not rocket science or a new discovery, but something interesting/useful I figured out today is that on an iPhone it’s pretty straight forward to use Airplay instead of Bluetooth for basic listening (still not bit perfect, but better than lossy Bluetooth). Just turn on iPhone hotspot, connect Poly to hotspot, and then from whatever app you are using send the audio to the poly via airplay. Only slightly more steps than a simple Bluetooth connection, but much better sound quality.

FWIW - Poly uses the Airplay 1 standard, which is limited to 16bit / 44.1khz but is uncompressed. So still not bit perfect, but also not lossy for most non hifi content. Which again is a far superior place to be than what you get with lossy Bluetooth. I find this very useful for video watching on the go.

Hope this is interesting/useful to someone.

Indeed, I’ve been using the Mojo-Poly combo for iOS media consumption via AirPlay much more in recent weeks. However, I’m connecting to the Poly hotspot instead which seems to work more consistently for me. This post from October explains how you can do the reverse without losing your Iphone’s internet access.

Unfortunately, I cannot use UPnP apps on my work’s network. So even though both phone and Poly are connected to the network, I cannot get MConnect to ID the Poly.
I think many people get very confused when talking about WiFi network, WiFi network and data network are two different things.

You can connect the Poly to your phone via WiFi without having any active data plan, your SIM has no role and you can safely run the Poly connected to the Phone via WiFi without any SIM and a data plan.

I have traditionally purchased physical media and used streaming services, so I’ve not had to deal with this choice before. Googling around and it seems (some) people have preferred WAV as it sounded better to them, over FLAC. That is why I mentioned it. If FLAC is just as good or better, I’d like to hear that feedback. I don’t really have much to go on as far as my experience.
FLAC and WAV sound exactly the same, think of FLAC as a zipped Wav, the FLAC codec unzips and plays, the zipping process does not compromise the integrity of the data.

Can you please share or point how I can do this? Thank you.

All you have to do is activate the hotspot of your phone and connect the Poly to it or activate the hotspot of the Poly and connect your phone to it, no data plan is needed, the important thing is that one of the two acts as an access point. You can also remove the SIM from your phone, it is not necessary

I believe the OP wanted to stream Qobuz at work. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how that would work without internet.

I apologize, maybe I misunderstood, it is obvious that if he wants to use a streaming service, an internet connection is needed
Yep, nailed it. Trying to stream the Qobuz service. Thanks guys.

Replaced a dead mojo with a mojo 2. Did Van Nuys really design the case to cover up the poly lights? Why hasn't this been corrected?

Merely and simply an observation. The two need to be divorced, maybe once a year ;-)
For almost 2 years now I am using Poly and Mojo2 always together, stationary and not moving around with them. Today it happened the second time, first time was many months ago, at least six: GoFigure or any other app was not able to find Poly. Switching both off, separating from each other, switching on Mojo2, again switching off Mojo2, sticking them together and again switching both on using Mojo2’s on/off-switch made them both to be rediscovered by gofigure. Everything else was the same, as always, no different handling in any way. The only thing I observed today, and I am unsure if it happened the first time many months ago, after switching on the two for normal usage the first time today, Mojo2 switched off by itself the whole system definitely. One last addition: of course I waited almost three seconds in between turning off and turning on and for finishing the self-test process.
EDIT: minor clarification+correction spelling mistake
