Why don’t you use mconnect or JPLAY? Both sound great with Qobuz, JPLAY slightly better. Works on local network, phone hotspot mode or poly hotspot mode.I think you’re going to be right. Also, I realized with no Roon server at my work, I can’t use the Roon app either. Such a bummer, as I’ve used it for the first time with my Poly tonight and it’s incredible sounding.
I really want to find a way to natively stream Qobuz at work. I had to use BT today and it’s significantly inferior. I highly doubt I can get away with setting up a private network. My employer is extremely serious about info-sec, as it should be (we have client data).

For either hotspot mode, is it possible to also have my phone connected to my work WiFi (i.e., hybrid mode)? I’ve read through here a lot and want to confirm that answer is a “no”. I don’t have an unlimited data plan so I would really need to be able to utilize my work WiFi for both devices. Why don’t you use mconnect or JPLAY? Both sound great with Qobuz, JPLAY slightly better. Thanks again.
Hi, if you are allowed to connect your phone and poly to your work‘s wifi just do this. This allows you to use your phone with all features. Instead of Roon at home you just use mconnect at work. All should be fine. For either hotspot mode, is it possible to also have my phone connected to my work WiFi (i.e., hybrid mode)? I’ve read through here a lot and want to confirm that answer is a “no”. Unfortunately, I cannot use UPnP apps on my work’s network. So even though both phone and Poly are connected to the network, I cannot get MConnect to ID the Poly.Hi, if you are allowed to connect your phone and poly to your work‘s wifi just do this. Does anyone know what type of wire I need to connect Poly to car input? I’m trying to use Mozo 2 + Poly on my Burmiester on Cayenne, and I connected it using this wire.

My iPhone recognizes the Poly, but I don’t hear any sound. Is this the wrong cable, or is there another way to connect it correctly?

You will want a mini to mini (3.5mm) cable that plugs into your car’s AUX input.Does anyone know what type of wire I need to connect Poly to car input? I’m trying to use Mozo 2 + Poly on my Burmiester on Cayenne, and I connected it using this wire.

I assume that you mean you are connecting the 3.5mm end of the cable to the Mojo+Poly and the USB-C to your car. Unless your car system is set up to take an analog signal via USB-C, then this isn't going to work. In fact, I doubt the directionality of that cable works that way.Does anyone know what type of wire I need to connect Poly to car input? You would need an analog input on your car. Either a 3.5mm or a pair of RCA's is what I would expect to see, depending on the system. Assuming that your car has a 3.5/Aux input, that is. My Tesla doesn't have any analog inputs, much to my frustration.

Yeah, that is my problem as well. Porsche no longer gives such inputs. What a pity that Mozo does not get a USB-C output. I know it's a headphone thing but I don't think there is anything portable enough from Chord to use in the car. I know one person who has got a TT-2 and M Scaler installed in the Car though

You need to take the Mojo out of the loop. Go directly from the source you have connected to Mojo in to the car usb. You are then using the DAC in the car headunit but that’s likely your only option.Yeah, that is my problem as well. Porsche no longer gives such inputs. You can use an SD card (with UsB adapter) plugged into the glovebox port though, and that will be your best source in your Tesla.I assume that you mean you are connecting the 3.5mm end of the cable to the Mojo+Poly and the USB-C to your car. I am purchasing hi res music, is there a “best” format for Poly and at large? It seems like most folks online like WAV and AIFF. With WAV being Windows-based, should I go with that?

Why not FLAC/ALAC?
WAV and AIFF are harder to attach metadata and are considerably larger files. Same with DSD.

I have traditionally purchased physical media and used streaming services, so I’ve not had to deal with this choice before. Googling around and it seems (some) people have preferred WAV as it sounded better to them, over FLAC. That is why I mentioned it. If FLAC is just as good or better, I’d like to hear that feedback. I don’t really have much to go on as far as my experience. Why not FLAC/ALAC?

I too purchase mainly physical media and stream. I ripped all my CDs to ALAC.
I'd try it for yourself. I can't tell any difference between FLAC and WAV.
If you intend on using a microSD card on the poly, you'll be much happier with FLAC as it's easy to tag metadata. Unless you have proof otherwise, WAV files are usually transcoded from FLAC files when you buy them. I don't know many places that sell WAV files directly from masters.
I'd just buy the highest quality HiRes FLAC and call it a day. I personally don't think it's worth the nervosa worrying about differences in lossless formats.
