Back to the portable Chord game with a Mojo 2 and Poly. My main use case is with Roon at home and ARC or SD card playback outside.

Poly is much more predictable than I remember, just hope that Chord will release the update to fix my satellite router handshake issue soon.

I'm a new Poly user and that's pretty much my use case too, I had to buy a couple of PLCs and create an independent 2.4GHz SSID just for POLY though, otherwise I got too many connection drops. Poly is very picky when connecting to a WIFI signal, I've never had a device that troublesome.

Can someone comment on a few scenarios for me? If I'm out and about can I use poly to simply interface with tidal and control it all via my phone for steaming?

is there a way to utilize offline tidal playlists via the sd cards hosted on the poly?

Yes you can stream Tidal and Qobuz, while out and about I use iphone, and MConnect app to access Tidal and Qobuz, as well as the SD Card.
However for SD Card I prefer to use 8 Player Pro Apps, simply because it is faster.
At home I use Roon to play Tidal and Qobuz to the Poly.

I always carry with me a portable wifi modem (a Huawei E5576) so I dont worry about interfering my phone connection while I'm out.
Some guys here are using the phone as hotspot for access.

For offline Tidal playlist I have not tried it yet.

Hope that helps

Thank you. Hoping someone else can chime in about the offline tidal playlists. If you don't mind a few additional questions...

Has Bluetooth codec support improved?

When at home, can I simply connect poly to my home wifi, and control playback of mojo via my phone or pc via tidal?

Last bluetooth update came with fw 2.0 as far as i know. You need a permanent bluetooth connection in general to use gofigure.
Spotify and Tidal Connect aren´t supported. It´s been a while i got a poly in hand, but i think it hasn´t been implemented (no update after fw 3.0).

Android:
You could use BubbleUPNP, MConnect, AKConnect for example to access Tidal/ Qobuz/ Local Files/ Poly SD Card. After that you have to choose the player aka Poly (Renderer, Streamer).

iOS:
8Player, other available apps, Airplay. Haven´t got an iDevice for a while. So i couldn´t help here out.

Yes poly can be connected to home wifi, I can control it via iphone through MConnect apps; it has built in tidal and qobuz after it is set by Go Figure apps.

If using roon, it makes it easier since tidal and qobuz is built in roon thus I can control all via iphone, laptop, pc or other device that is connected to the same network as the roon.
