Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆

I have no doubt wav sounds better than flac due to not needing to decompress the file in real time. Decompression puts a load on the processor and power supply and can generate extra switching noise and power fluctuation.
That is my thinking. Hope 2Go has more processor and better power regulator. Otherwise, I will need to buy a larger microsd card.

Anyone suggest a case for the Mojo + Poly that doesn’t cost $200 / won’t ship from China?
I want to know, too. I am using this now:

But I want something better.

I'm using the Chord clamshell style hard case. It's great but a pain to open and close.

I've been looking around for leather ones but there don't seem to be many options. The only cases I've found are:
* the expensive VanNuys/Chord collaboration
* the cheaper Chord polyurethane sleeve case, seems okay but might be hard to find
* the Easecase ones available on eBay (from China) - which I might try as I'm in China
* the case from Dignis, they have some refurbished ones in stock: http://www.dignisdesign.com/product/unio-mojo-poly-caserefurb/233/?cate_no=89&display_group=1
* this seller on Etsy also made mojopoly cases, although no listed available at the moment: https://www.etsy.com/shop/VALENTINUM?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=741595647

Ah, damn, so not just me. I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and buy the VanNuys/Chord colab. Just crazy to sell a case for $200.

Like @miketlse said, it is the backslash vs forward slash thing.

Try this:
It's the slash...what kind of evil programing is this? Nothing in the manual; google search also failed me.

Thanks!

With Bubbleupnp on android .
it is possible to convert the flac to wav with the ffmpeg
Example:
Qobuz send flac files only.
BubbleUpnp decompress the flav in wave and send in the nativ format to the Poly.
In this case, the wifi chips generates a few noise but all in all , the sound is better.

With Poly, the best sound is in air play mode with wav files.
It was the same with 2go but with the new firmware, the gap seems reduced between flac and wave.
But, the 2yu and optical will be far better.

So then how does using the Poly to stream through roon compare to using my phone as the streamer wired into the mojo? How much loss in quality is there? (Without too much technical jargon)

I want it to be the same quality but that’s too good to be true

I´m absolutly with you guy´s. I had mail contact with VanNuys, unfortunately the VanNuys Leather Case is discontinued. You only could get it with luck in some stores, which have it still in stock.
Some seller´s in my country got the product picture of this case on their websites, but they offer a third party one instead. I returned them and found a store in GB.
Yeah, really expensive with custom taxes, but for me it´s worth the money at all. I got several other cases, but this one is a masterpiece.

So, if you have the money...get it.

I saw some people asking about Poly cases. I sold my Mojo and Poly and still have the Van Nuys leather case in a couple in an as good as new condition.

Feel free to PM me if interested. Also listed in the classifieds.
